BASED ON REAL STORY....

I went to quote a client who wanted their backyard re-turfed amongst having their vegetable patch & old chicken coop removed.
Something like this kinda work takes lots of time, effort & phone calls.
I needed prices on:
• Turf
• Soil
• Skip hire
• Extra Labour hire

They were looking to sell and had an open viewing in 4 days time and wanted to have a nice new garden ready for the viewing.
To put things into perspective, new turf generally takes 4 weeks to properly root in...So the job was already behind before I began.
Client was really adamant to get the job done before the open house in 4 days time, hence all the constant text messages.
Once home later in the afternoon I got straight to work with the quote.
Sent the quote over later than night...Their response "WOW!! That's too much, our budget is only 'x' amount"

Their budget was only JUST over the cost of the turf ALONE.

Moral of the story:
"Do your homework, plan in advance & don't expect miracles"

Hi all Garden Enthusiasts,

Just a quick note to let you know about a small change to my pricing.

Like many other businesses, we've all been dealing with rising costs, including fuel, equipment, materials, insurance, and other day-to-day expenses. Because of this, I'll be increasing my service rates by 15%.
I've done my very best to keep prices the same for as long as possible, which is why I didn't increase them back in January. I've been absorbing a lot of these extra costs myself. However, to keep providing the reliable, high-quality garden maintenance you know and expect, this change has become necessary.

The new pricing will take effect from today

This isn't down to greed, I just want to stay in business and keep healthy profit margins because I love what I do and love helping out my clients with their garden needs.

I sincerely appreciate your understanding, support, and continued trust in my business. I value every client and look forward to keeping your gardens looking their best.
