Sometimes electrical faults aren’t actually faults at all 😂

The client had a cleaner at the property earlier in the day who believed the switch next to the switchboard controlled the garage lights. However, there was actually another separate switch near the garage door that controlled the garage lights only. When the “master switch” was turned off, it shut down every light throughout the house.

Interestingly this type of setup is actually quite common in commercial buildings where you may want to shut down multiple rooms or lighting circuits from one location. However, it’s very uncommon to see in a residential home.

Luckily for the client, there was no fault with the wiring at all and everything was back up and running right away ⚡️

Sometimes it pays to have someone who knows what to look for!

⚡️ Switchboard Upgrade ⚡️

We recently upgraded this outdated switchboard that had no RCD (safety switch) protection ❌

That means if there was a fault or electric shock, there was nothing there to instantly cut the power, putting the home and everyone in it at serious risk.

We upgraded the board with modern RCBO protection across all circuits, bringing it up to current Australian Standards and making the home safer, smarter and more reliable ✅

Fully kitted out with Caddy Storage right throughout the van, keeping everything clean, organised and easy to access on the job. 🔧🧰

Everything has its place so I can work efficiently and stay focused on getting the job done right.

At the end of the day, how you show up matters. Rocking up to site with tools all over the place and cables falling out of the van isn’t a great look. It gives off the impression of being unorganised and careless.
