Our Managing Director, Michael Biddle, and National Contracts Manager, Kyle Roberts, recently visited Murra Warra II Wind Farm in North Western Victoria to check in with our hard-working Wind Energy and Blade Repair Team.

The visit focused on safety, quality and operational performance.

It was also an opportunity to strengthen our ongoing relationship with GE Vernova, ensuring continued collaboration and high standards in our work.

After a productive discussion, the team celebrated with a well-earned breakfast BBQ.

𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 💪

Our team recently completed First Aid Training with First Aid Coach Sydney, ensuring we stay compliant, and more importantly, ready to respond in the field - especially in remote locations where immediate help isn’t an option.

Some of the team completed the whole course, while others refreshed their skills across:
✅ HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid
✅ HLTAID010 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
✅ HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

The session was hands-on, with plenty of practical scenarios - including a few laughs as we practised with CPR manikins and slings. The trainer also incorporated first aid scenarios for a worker in a harness, ensuring the training aligned with our work at height.

It was a great session that reinforced our commitment to safety.

Our RIGCOM Height Safety Installation Team has been hard at work at the Victoria Park Pool in Sydney, installing Anchor Points and a Static Line to enhance safety for those working at height. With the Sydney CBD skyline as a backdrop, this project is as iconic as the location itself.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮: Did you know Aussie rock legends 𝗔𝗖/𝗗𝗖 ⚡, one of the best-known rock bands in the world, performed on this very same rooftop back in 1975? No PPE was required back then - just pure rock ‘n’ roll energy! 🎸 This legendary moment in music history makes our work here even more special.

Captured on-site at a South Australian wind farm, our Technicians investigate blade damage aboard the Blade King, an Elevated Work Platform (EWP) with a 103-metre boom. This method is one of the many access techniques we utilise to deliver specialist inspection, repair and maintenance services for wind turbines, blades, nacelles and spinners.

At RIGCOM, we adapt to the unique challenges of every project by selecting the most efficient and safe access method - IRATA-qualified Rope Access Technicians, EWPs or Blade Access Platforms (BAPs).

During a recent inspection, Adam tested the Lightning Protection System (LPS) receptors and verified blade tip continuity to the root - crucial steps in ensuring our turbines stay resilient and safe against lightning strikes.

A light drizzle created the perfect conditions for this close-up rainbow, adding a touch of nature’s unexpected magic to the day’s inspection work!
