Today I visited one of our purpose-built production factories and spotted a tool Iβd never seen before.
Turns out itβs a belt tension frequency tester.
By plucking the drive belt and measuring its vibration frequency (this one was reading 290.8 Hz), our team can precisely set the correct belt tension on every jetter we build. No guesswork.
Too loose and the belt slips.
Too tight and bearings wear out.
Itβs one of those details most customers will never see, but itβs exactly why quality matters.
Every hand-built machine that leaves our workshop is checked, tested and tuned by engineers who genuinely care about getting it right.
At The Jetters Edge, reliability isnβt luck, itβs built into every machine.
After 35 years of owning a plumbing business, Iβve learned that the purchase price is only a small part of the equation. The cheapest machine to buy is rarely the cheapest machine to own.
When your equipment earns your living, reliability, support, performance and attention to detail are far more important than saving a few dollars on the purchase price.
A machine that starts every day, performs when you need it to, and stays out of the repair shop will always be the better investment.
The real cost isnβt what you pay on day one β itβs what the machine costs you over its lifetime.
Thatβs why we obsess over the details, even the ones most people will never see, and why we build every machine as if it were going onto one of our own trucks.
