WINNER Master Builders Excellence in Housing Awards 2024
We were also thrilled to be a Finalist in the top award on the night, Master Builder of the Year. Such an honour to be recognised amongst previous winners and finalists in this category. Congratulations for taking it out this year!!
To our site team—John, Mitch, and Scott—thank you for your incredible attention to detail. You studied the plans as if your lives depended on it, ensuring that not a single rebate, downlight, curtain track or picture rail was overlooked in the 400m² of off-form concrete ceilings. Your care and dedication was remarkable.
And of course, we owe so much to our subcontractors; without their skill and commitment, this project wouldn’t have been possible.

We built a large temporary structure over the work space. This was constructed entirely using scaffold with a large tarp over to keep the rain and weather out. Little did we know the El Niño wet weather that was headed in our direction during that period, and thanked ourselves for making the right call when it came to protecting the plywood deck. Had we not constructed the custom engineered temporary roof, we would have no doubt been ripping up ply and starting again.

The extensive timber joinery wrapping and folding throughout the home also hits datum lines, with floor to ceiling wall panelling, as do the internal doors and bathroom tiles which create a cultivated ease throughout.

Inside, the datum lines are continuous and uninterrupted from the front door, around the balcony and into the kitchen and hallway. Achieving the uninterrupted lines while incorporating glass sliding doors, which in the open position sit outside the building, and incorporating fire shutters for BAL FZ compliance and seamless integration with flyscreens and curtains, meant the site team couldn’t have one day off their game.

We are very proud to be featured in The Local Project’s beautifully printed Issue 15.
What an honour to build this considered home for such wonderful humans, perched between the wild of the escarpment to the north which it opens to, and the garden suburb it greets every day.
Thank you pH+ for architecting us here, and to the one and only TFAD Tom capturing her beauty.

Since 2009, Newmark Constructions has partnered with some of the best architects in Sydney. Building award winning homes and lasting relationships by exceeding our clients expectations and setting a new benchmark for the construction industry.
Our aim is to produce superbly constructed buildings for our clients in the most efficient and intelligent way possible.
Our appreciation of design and the aesthetics of the finished project means a greater emphasis on attention to detail – it’s our passion. So much so it’s a part of our identity, with the Greek letter Phi representing the golden ratio, incorporated in our logo. Related to the Fibonacci Sequence, the Golden Ratio describes the perfect relationship between two proportions and is used in architecture, paintings, sculptures, photography and design.
“I put an extremely strong emphasis on creative outcomes and good communication - these are two of the reasons I love working with Newmark.”
