Congratulations to Anh Nguyen on her promotion to Associate in our Sydney studio.

Since joining Studio.SC, Anh has brought sophistication, quiet confidence and a deeply considered design approach to complex projects across residential, mixed-use and adaptive reuse.

Her work across major HDA and SSDA projects has strengthened her capability across design, narrative, project thinking and the broader business of architecture. She brings optimism, urgency and purpose to her work, with a strong commitment to design excellence and a measured understanding of time, value and project outcomes.

For Anh, this promotion reflects the people she has had the opportunity to learn from, work alongside and grow with. It also recognises the trust placed in her to take ownership and build confidence through experience.

A project that continues to stand the test of time.

We’re excited to share that The Residence Hyde Park has won the Luxury and Enduring categories at the NSW Apartment Advocacy Awards for Excellence.

Completed in 2011, the project transformed a 1970s office tower into one of Sydney’s most enduring residential addresses through adaptive reuse, thoughtful urban integration and a commitment to long-term design quality.

More than a decade on, The Residence continues to demonstrate the lasting value of contextually responsive architecture and residential design.

We’re also pleased to announce that the project has been selected as a finalist for the National Apartment Advocacy Awards in Melbourne this August.

Since opening in May 2016, Bennelong Bridge has connected everyday life between Wentworth Point and Rhodes.

Spanning 330 metres across Homebush Bay, the bridge reduced an 8km journey to less than 500m, creating a direct link for pedestrians, cyclists, buses and emergency vehicles.

Studio.SC helped shape the urban design thinking behind the bridge and broader Wentworth Point masterplan, supporting a more connected, walkable and accessible future for Wentworth Point.

More than a crossing, Bennelong Bridge shows how thoughtful infrastructure can bring people, places and communities closer together.

Greg brings more than 13 years of experience across architecture and urban design, with a strong focus on living, mixed-use, seniors living, aged care and community-focused projects.

Faith, Learning and Community.

Set within Dural’s rolling landscape, the St Mary & St Sidhom Coptic Orthodox Church redevelopment brings together worship, education and community life within a connected precinct.

The masterplan includes a new church, multipurpose community hall, youth and education facilities, outdoor amphitheatre, play spaces and landscaped gathering areas, creating a campus that supports both spiritual and social connection.

Drawing from traditional Coptic ecclesiastical forms, the church reinterprets arched openings, stained glass and symbolic elements through a contemporary architectural language, forming the spiritual heart of the precinct.

Together, the buildings and landscape create a welcoming destination for the Coptic Orthodox community and the wider Dural community.

Atura Hotel Taking Shape.

Construction is progressing at Atura Hotel in Oran Park, with key design elements beginning to reveal the character of the project.

Recent works include the installation of entry foyer skylight glazing, podium retail awning cladding, pre-function corridor roof structure and pool deck works, with façade scaffolding starting to come down.

Viewed from Perich Park, the hotel continues to take its place within the broader Oran Park town centre, connecting civic, hospitality and retail uses through a growing public realm.

Behind the Scenes, By Design.

At the Sydney Opera House, the Vehicle Access and Pedestrian Safety (VAPS) project rethinks how a world-renowned precinct moves, functions and performs.

By relocating servicing underground, it prioritises pedestrian safety while strengthening back-of-house operations. Now in operation for over 10 years, the intervention demonstrates careful coordination of circulation, access and logistics at every level, continuing to support the day-to-day performance of Australia’s busiest cultural precinct.

It is a reminder that behind every successful building is a considered approach to movement, safety and accessibility, shaping not just how a place looks, but how it works.
