On its own, the green Kit Kat tiled nib wall would have been a beautiful feature in this ensuite bathroom. But when we added the tall timber niche, the whole bathroom came to life. The deceptively simple addition of the niche added so much warmth and turned the nib wall it into our favourite part of the whole bathroom.

Designer’s notes: Every room needs a little tension and a little softness so in this bathroom, we made sure all the vertical lines of the Kit Kat tiles, VJ panelling and grooved vanity were balanced with curved mirrors, round basins and soft-round lighting.

Once again, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘆, just hits the spot in this ensuite bathroom renovation we recently completed in Frenchs Forest.

From its 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 that lets the beauty of the natural timber shine, to its excellent 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, it's no wonder the Lilly has been our best seller for years and is as popular now as it's ever been.

Featured here in 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗢𝗮𝗸, our client chose to customise their Lilly with our slim 20mm frame for a slightly more elegant look, as well as the "𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄/𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽" 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (perfect for storage shampoo bottles or towels below and makeup and skincare up top).

How joyful is a white kitchen when you add layer upon layer of beautiful textures and a dash of sunshine!

For this recent kitchen project in Allambie Heights we used the crisp freshness of Lexicon Qtr as a backdrop for our client's collection of ceramics and plants, with rich timber accents and a glistening backsplash of Moroccan zellige tiles to wrap it all together.

What our client loves:

- the large central island which has become the hub of the home, with plenty of space for the whole family and lots of friends to gather around
- the special nook for the all important coffee machine
- the cute open shelves with space for plants and art
- having everything exactly where it needs to be!

If you love cool, calm coastal tones and natural textures, you’ll love this Northern Beaches bathroom 🌊

Designed for a busy family with two boys, this space needed to be practical, durable and as “boy proof” as possible, while still feeling layered, full of character and have a warm and relaxed vibe.

📝 The design details:

1️⃣ A custom, VERY solid Blackbutt vanity with natural rattan panels for warmth, texture and plenty of storage
2️⃣ Dusty blue and crisp white subway tiles laid both vertically and horizontally for that relaxed coastal feel and an element of pattern
3️⃣ An arched mirror cabinet to soften the space with a contrasting shape
4️⃣ A half-height wall with a stone top and hidden niche to help keep shampoo bottles tucked away
5️⃣ Brushed brass tapware to balance the cooler blue tones with a soft warmth

Is this the prettiest sage green laundry on the Northern Beaches?

This laundry renovation had to tick all the boxes for our clients their family :
- loads of storage
- as much open bench space as possible
- places to hang washing to dry
- a guest toilet
- a huge, practical sink that was also beautiful enough to be the hero of the space
- a calm, elegant pallete with a country-coastal aesthetic

And we added our own box... an extra special laundry floor!

From the pull out drying rack hidden on the drawer to the stone-look herringbone floor tile and the gorgeous double butlers sink, we think this ticks every box and we couldn't love it more!

Consider this your your sign to do wallpaper in your powder room... Go! Do it! Be bold!

When our fabulous client spotted this wallpaper with its tropical meets art deco vibe, she knew it was THE ONE and it would be going 'straight to the powder room' .

So, with her perfect paper picked, she came to Just in Place to help her bring the whole space together.

To balance the pattern and saturation in the wallpaper, we chose a neutral tile for the floor and wall that felt calm and quiet, making sure that the tone was a perfect match.

We added a slimline custom timber vanity in American Oak, and paired it with our Compact Wall Hung Basin on top, to provide storage and steer the style a little more coastal.

And finally our brushed brass tapware added the finishing touch, picking up on the gold accents in the wallpaper.

The result is a lush and vibrant powder room that feels glamorous and special while still being eminently practical for the family.
