Stripping back instrumentation cable with the wrong tools can be tedious. The Knipex ergo strip is the best tool I’ve come across if you want to strip back lots of it.

Service call for this old Cooline ducted system. Customer said they could hear a clicking noise coming from the indoor unit when they tried switching it on but nothing would start. Found controllers 240v active links had a poor termination and the 240v wasn’t getting across to our fan terminals.

Re-terminated all active links and confirmed our fan was operational before re-terminating the whole controller + adding some wagos. Took some air offs and confirmed our system is cooling & heating.

- Wera tool check plus
- Vessel electric screwdriver
- Knipex ergo strip
- Fluke T6-1000 pro
- Unilite IL925R

Replaced this Allen Bradley PLC for a Regulator TC5044 controller. Due to pricing for repair and maintenance of the PLC we decided a more budget option was to replace the lot.

The packout rolling drawer can fit an insane amount, if you’re lugging your packout through the city or around site it’s a must!

Some insight into how a relay operates. I used to get confused when people referred to the “switching voltage” of a relay, so hopefully this video clears it up and helps someone else too.
