VELA PROJECT
- This is our largest project to date consisting of over 2,500m2 of sandstone cladding, 600 lineal metres of capping and 100 lineal metres of stone Soffits. A lot of work has gone on behind the scenes before a stone was ever laid. To bring the architects vision to life, our in house draftsmen spent weeks to draw and supply shop drawings for every elevation. All the stone cladding, capping and soffits were cut to size to work even course heights from finished floor to ceiling, joints to line up vertically and lengths to work full stones all with a 5mm shadow line joint
From here we were able to supply this cutting list to the quarry where each Individual stone had an ID number so onsite our team were able to work more efficiently, set out the project as per shop drawings and organising stone for their desired locations as it arrived to site.
We are extremely proud and excited to share our progress and we couldn’t have achieved any of this if it wasn’t for our incredible, passionate and highly skilled stonemasons.
