During June, our compliance activity resulted in the following regulatory actions:

➡️ 115 directions to rectify
➡️ 67 Penalty Infringement Notices (PINs) issued
➡️ 8 licences suspended
➡️ 5 licences cancelled

We also referred five matters to legal services for prosecution in June.

Thank you to all licensees who are contributing to achieving better building and construction outcomes.

If you are about to embark on your construction journey, do you know how much you are required to pay as a deposit on your contract?

Generally, the maximum deposit a contractor is allowed to request is:
👉 work that costs $20,000 or more - 5% deposit
👉 work that costs between $3,300 and $19,999 - 10% deposit
👉 work priced $3,300 or less - 20% deposit
