Recently I’ve been finding more and more melted isolators on rooftops. Customers often notice their bills creeping up before realising their solar system isn’t producing like it used to — and a faulty isolator is a common culprit.

Isolators should be inspected annually and replaced after 5 years, yet many have never been touched. Has yours?

UV damage breaks down the casing over time, allowing water to get in. Once moisture reaches the DC contacts, it can cause arcing — leading to heat, melting, or fire. Give me a call if you’d like your system checked. ☎️ 0438952200
