🏆 Award-Winning Project: Clarence Correctional Facility – Red 8 Roofing

Red 8 Roofing was recognised as a Category 6 – Public Building (Roofing and/or Cladding) 2nd Joint Winner for our work on the Clarence Correctional Facility in Grafton.

This large-scale infrastructure project, delivered by John Holland, was one of the most significant correctional facility developments in NSW. Designed to address the critical shortage of correctional centre beds and facilities, the project injected $560 million into the local economy over 20 years and generated over 1,100 construction jobs and 600 operational roles.

Our team completed a high-performance roofing and cladding system, ensuring durability, security, and long-term functionality for this major public facility. Another complex and large-scale project that was recognised for excellence in workmanship.

Project Spotlight | Central Station Upgrade

Sydney’s Central Station Upgrade, delivered by Laing O’Rourke, was a major infrastructure project designed to modernise one of Australia’s busiest transport hubs. As part of this $955 million transformation, Red 8 Roofing contributed to the redevelopment by installing high-performance roofing solutions to support the station’s new concourses and pedestrian connections.

The upgrade introduced new metro platforms, expanded pedestrian areas, and significant accessibility improvements, all requiring durable, weather-resistant materials to withstand high-traffic conditions and Sydney’s climate. The landmark roof canopy over the revitalised Northern Concourse was built in multiple stages, ensuring both precision and efficiency in construction.

This project sets a new benchmark in sustainable transport infrastructure, with 6 Star Green Star certification, water efficiency measures, and material innovations that align with long-term environmental goals. Red 8 Roofing’s work contributed to ensuring longevity and durability in this world-class transport hub.
