This is what happens when rodents move into your air conditioner… 🐀

Rodents entered this ducted Daikin unit and completely destroyed the PCB electronics.

Replacing the board is no simple job — multiple cables need to be disconnected, labelled and correctly terminated onto the new PCB.

The result? A complex and potentially expensive repair.

⚠ Check your AC unit for gaps or openings that could allow rodents inside. Get potential entry points sealed before they cause damage.

🚨 Extension leads aren’t permanent wiring.

We found an extension lead running along a back fence, through an inaccessible section of boundary fencing, and into a shed to supply power and lighting.

This setup can cause voltage drop and overcurrent issues, particularly for equipment like a pool pump. With the cable exposed to the sun and hidden inside an inaccessible structure, any heat or damage can also go unnoticed.

Extension leads are for temporary use, not permanent electrical installations.

If it’s permanent equipment, it needs permanent wiring. ⚡

No room for the cable? No problem. We found a smarter way. ⚡

This gas-to-electric oven conversion didn’t have enough space to run the oven cable directly to an isolating switch.

So, we installed an “OVEN” labelled switch that controls a contactor neatly concealed underneath the drawers. The contactor provides the required isolation for the hardwired 90cm electric cooker, without compromising the clean finish of the kitchen.

A practical solution, neatly tucked away. ✨

A beautiful bird, an expensive electrical problem. 🦜⚡

A customer had lost power to a circuit, so we started testing to isolate the fault. After a few questions about recent work, the customer mentioned they’d been hearing birds in the roof.

We had a feeling it might be Rosellas. Sure enough, two circuits had been chewed down to bare copper, causing the cables to short out.

Before sealing the entry point, we made sure the Rosella eggs were safely removed and protected. 🪺

A good reminder to never ignore signs of bird activity in your roof. They might be beautiful, but their chewing can cause some very costly damage.
