⚡ 67 CIRCUIT BREAKERS, ONE FAULTY BREAKER & A WHOLE LOT OF HEAD-SCRATCHING! 🤦‍♂️

We got a call from our good mates at Thoroughgood Professional Plumbing Service , the go-to guys for plumbing on the Central Coast, after a bit of a water disaster at the new voco building in Gosford.

Following a car park pressure clean, water had travelled down a riser and straight through a major electrical distribution board packed with three-phase equipment, lighting controls and 67 circuit breakers. 💦⚡

The fault was substantial enough to trip the main supply to the entire front section of the building!

After hours, no lighting in the switch room, and a whole lot of testing later, we meticulously worked through the circuits until we found our culprit.

ONE circuit breaker still had water inside it.

The kicker? That very breaker had been installed BACKWARDS, meaning it was actually OFF during our initial testing, hiding the fault from us! 🤦‍♂️😂

Sometimes being a sparky is 10% electrical knowledge, 90% detective work… and occasionally wondering who installed the bloody thing backwards!

Another interesting night on the tools! 🔧⚡

Me, as Director of the Wolf & Fox Group, when I buy the boys a heap of new tools, equipment and materials we don’t normally stock…

Walking around like I’ve just personally changed their lives. 🥹👏

The reality? It’s literally my job to make sure our team has the right tools, quality materials and equipment to get the job done safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

But does that stop me from expecting a standing ovation every time a delivery arrives?

Absolutely not. 😎

Free Trade Day is coming on November 6th, and we are so happy to be taking part once again. Thanks to Coasties Magazine for always covering the things that shape this amazing community we have!

A few hours of your time could change someone’s life 🔧💛

Free Trade Day returns to the Central Coast on Friday 6 November, and over 150 local tradies have already put their hands up. Now the call is out for more tradies to join them - and for locals to nominate someone who needs a hand.

Nominations close next Wednesday 30 September. Tradies can volunteer for as little as two hours.

This is the Coast at its best: locals backing locals and getting stuck in where it matters.

⚡ NOT OUR MOST PROFESSIONAL POST… BUT HERE WE ARE 😂⚡

We’ll admit it… we were a little nervous about posting this one.

We spend plenty of time sharing switchboard upgrades, lighting installs, EV chargers and all the serious electrical stuff… and sometimes about four people see it. 😂

Post something a little ridiculous though? Apparently that’s what the internet wants.

So here’s some light-hearted humour from the Terrigal Electrical crew — and yes, we’ve tried our very best to keep it somewhat electrical-related. ⚡😂

She may have a future in marketing… although we’re not sure Ryan is ready to hand over the company Instagram just yet.

Big jobs are always exciting but it’s the way the team delivers them that makes you proud.

We’re currently well into the electrical works on the new multi-level Vineyard Medical & Specialist Centre at Kurri Kurri. Which is not only a project on a huge scale, it's something that will benefit an entire community.

Kurri Kurri is about as far from the Central Coast as we generally venture, but for a project of this calibre, it’s been well worth the trip.

Calling this a “medical centre” almost undersells it, looking through the plans, and now getting into it, it’s basically a mini hospital.

The development brings together a huge range of specialist medical services under the one roof, including medical consulting and treatment rooms, pharmacy, radiology, psychology, optometry and audiology, along with the associated clinical, staff and public areas.

There’s a serious amount of electrical infrastructure going into a facility like this, and the video is just a little look at the early stages of the rough-in.

What’s made us particularly proud has been the feedback from the builders and other trades on site. Our guys have been absolutely smashing it — keeping the project well ahead, communicating properly, thinking ahead and getting through an enormous amount of work without compromising the quality.

Big wraps to Andy, Tom and Ducky for the way they’ve taken ownership of this one. 👏

We’re certainly not the biggest electrical company around, and we don’t pretend to be. We’re a Central Coast family business with a good crew of electricians who take a lot of pride in their work.

So when our team heads away and starts blowing people away with their efficiency, workmanship and communication, it’s pretty satisfying to see.

Plenty more to come from this one.

NOT AGAIN 😭🎨

This is now the third time one of our business signs has been vandalised.

We’re a small, family-run local business, and while a damaged sign might not seem like a big deal, it costs us time, money and takes us away from doing what we do best—looking after our customers and supporting our local community.

If this was done by someone who has an issue with us personally, we’d genuinely rather have a conversation. We’re always happy to listen, and we’d much prefer to understand what’s behind it than continue replacing damaged signs.

To everyone else, we’d love to hear your thoughts. It feels like we’re seeing more and more of this happening to small businesses. Why do you think it’s becoming so common?

We know the vast majority of people in our community are kind, respectful and supportive, and we’re incredibly grateful for that. We just hope whoever is responsible realises that behind every small business is a family working hard to make a living.
