Position: Refrigeration Mechanic (or dual trade Electrician)

Salary: $40 – $50 per hour + Penalty rates + Super
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair various refrigeration systems including air conditioning units, cold storage, and industrial refrigeration equipment.
Diagnose faults and troubleshoot refrigeration units to ensure efficiency and performance.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
Test and charge refrigeration systems with the appropriate refrigerants.
Maintain accurate records of all service activities, repairs, and parts used.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
Keep up to date with new technologies and trends in the refrigeration industry.

Essential qualifications and experience:
Cert III in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
Refrigerant Handling Licence.
Current Class C Drivers' Licence.
Construction/White Card.
Restricted Electrical Licence.
Current CPR/LVR Certificate.
Experience in commercial installations, maintenance, repairs and fault finding.
Advantageous but not essential qualifications:
Dual trade qualifications - Refrigeration Mechanic & Electrician
WPCG Qualifications
Duties will include:
Installation and servicing of commercial refrigeration systems
Preventative and reactive refrigeration maintenance, for commercial restaurants, agriculture and supermarket sites.
HVAC Servicing.
Coordination with clients and other trades on site.
General inspection of systems and facilities.
Documentation and reporting.
Compliance with safety regulations ensuring the wellbeing of yourself and others.
