I absolutely loved working on this gorgeous property in Wodonga! We needed to rig this one down, so Tracie had to get started using the lowering rope. Plus she did a great job running the chipper. We have now upgraded her toolkit for the next job.

We can't wait to go back to work on more of the trees there!

Hello, I'm Tristan Black, a qualified Arborist and the owner of Agile Tree Specialists.

Ever since I was a kid, I've been fascinated by trees. I climbed them, collected gum nuts, and planted acorns just to see what would grow.

That childhood connection eventually became my career. Over the years I've germinated seeds; climbed and carefully dismantled huge trees in confined spaces; planted and shaped street trees; worked alongside a 130-tonne crane to lift a whole tree out of a ravine; created nesting hollows for native wildlife; and so much more.

Every site and every tree is unique, each with their own challenges. After all these years I still genuinely love tree work. The problem-solving, the physicality, the look of a job well done.

So whether you need a tree pruned, or one removed, a hedge trimmed, or advice about what to plant on your property, I'd love to help. Feel free to get in touch for a chat.

We love to run pro battery tools wherever possible, and have a number of them in our tool fleet, like this Stihl hedge-trimmer Tracie is using. They are so much quieter than petrol tools which is great for us as well as you and your neighbours. And no two-stroke exhaust for the operator, what a plus!

Of course, when it's time to really up the size and power level, we have traditional petrol powered machines as well, if that's what it takes to get the job done.

I love that in tree work you could be using a handsaw and secateurs, a big chainsaw, or anything in between!

When I started my career in professional tree work in the Dandenong Ranges, it wasn't just about climbing big trees — we also built a reputation for producing the best hedges around, and renovating them when required.

That attention to detail has stayed with me, and I still genuinely enjoy hedge trimming today.
