The Brisbane contingent of the Joe Wagner Group team enjoyed attending the CCF President’s Lunch today.

Hamish Turner, Rebecca Blesic, and Eddie Tran relished the opportunity to get out of the office and connect with industry peers.

A real highlight for the team was the Q&A session with Jonathan Thurston – an engaging and inspiring conversation around leadership, resilience, high performance and teamwork.

Thank you to CCF for hosting a great event.

PROJECT WIN// KIPPER CREEK ROAD IMPROVEMENT

Work is now underway on Kipper Creek Road, Biarra as part of early works for Toowoomba Regional Council's Cressbrook Dam Safety Improvement Project.

We're proud to be working with the Cressbrook Dam Alliance (Seymour Whyte, SMEC and TRC) to seal the section of Kipper Creek Road from Esk-Crows Nest Road to the single-lane bridge.

This work will ensure the road can safely handle heavy vehicle movements while improving accessibility, safety, and reducing dust for local residents.

We're happy to have recently sponsored the Toowoomba Under 16 Boys hockey team at the Queensland State Championships in September!

Team sports build more than just skills - they create resilience, lasting friendships, and memories that shape young lives.

We're thrilled our support helped these young athletes represent Toowoomba with pride and provided them with quality gear they'll wear for years to come.

THAT'S A WRAP// 2025 IPWEA-QNT ANNUAL CONFERENCE ✅

What an incredible few days at the Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane. Our team - Hamish, Jim, Liam, and Rebecca - had a fantastic time connecting with public works and engineering professionals from across Queensland and the Northern Territory.

🤝 From engaging discussions to exploring the latest industry innovations and best practices, this conference reinforced why we're passionate about delivering quality civil infrastructure across our region.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand to chat about projects, share ideas, and explore future opportunities.

A big shoutout to IPWEA-QNT for hosting such a well-organised event that brings our industry together.

Events like these are essential for staying at the forefront of public works engineering and building the connections that drive our industry forward.

Until next time! 🤗

PROJECT COMPLETE// QR WEST MORETON LINE AT MALU

We’ve just completed another formation renewal for our client Queensland Rail on a 6km stretch of the West Moreton Line at Malu, west of Oakey.

This was a massive effort our dedicated team and suppliers worked around the clock for four days (including the weekend!), backed by months of planning and preparation works.

The renewal went down to a depth of up to 700mm, ensuring a solid foundation over the fertile black soil in the area. And here’s a fun fact: 6 kilometres is the same as laying 120 Olympic swimming pools end to end!

A huge thank you to everyone involved for your hard work and commitment.
