Truth Time

Things are pretty bloody tough right now. 😞

Emerge is working with over 30 kids in crisis situations at the moment and the Christmas buzz means our cafe if quieter than usual.

Without base funding our crisis services are funded from the profits in our cafe and when the cafe is quiet, theres just no way to provide what they need.

Our youth workers are working with kids in watch houses when there is nobody else to call, providing intervention and diversion pathways from lockup, assisting young DV victims to flee, middle of the night crisis responses, housing kids who are homeless, providing employment and training.

Looking for the gold, not giving up, doing whatever it takes for the most vulnerable in our community.

Without your help we are at risk of closing our doors and going back to the drawing board for the toughest cases for kids in our region.

Can you get in our corner?

• Visit our cafe and share who we are and what we so with your friends and family, this is our favourite way to be supported ensuring the kids who work in our cafe can stay at work and earning an income.

• Donate a present for a young person doing it tough this Christmas and pop under our cafe Christmas tree.

• Buy a brick. We are aiming to sell 130 bricks, which portray the 130 kids who are homeless on any given night in our town.
