Another happy camper 😄 she really loved the job I did fixing up her neglected bed, the tenants who stayed there previously DID not maintain her property and her rear garden beds had gotten wayyy out of hand. She did a fantastic job herself and with another contractor's help to get it back down and I gave it the remaining TLC it desperately needed.

Just a quick one!

I was stoking the fire while the Mrs was getting our beef brisket tacos ready when I went to move a sprinkler and found this little guy tucked in beside it. He was cold and had a pretty nasty head injury, so I took my shirt off, wrapped him up, and popped him into a box to keep him warm.

Of course, the first thing he decided to do was p**p all over my shirt. 😂

I had a look for local wildlife rescuers and found the quickest option was to take him to the 24/7 emergency vet. They think he's a young pigeon or dove, and they'll get him into the care of a wildlife rehabilitator. Hopefully he makes a full recovery and gets released back into the wild.

Just a reminder that if you ever come across injured wildlife, don't just leave it there. A local vet or wildlife carer can often give it a second chance.

Its really crazy what a bit of mulch and some TLC can do to your garden bed!

Mulch is not expensive if you shop at the right places. This was a satisfying one for me in the end. I was extremely happy with the result even though I really wanted to put red dyed wood chip in there 😅

Bit of a satisfying one today. Had a play with the new pressure washer and some properly diluted treatment on my own driveway. The black mould was starting to drive me insane, and with another wet season eventually rolling around, it’s the perfect time to get on top of it before pathways and concrete become dangerously slippery again.

It’s honestly wild how slick some surfaces get once the rain hits up here in North QLD.

Before & after on this heavily overgrown nature strip cleanup 👌

This one was extremely overgrown and the grass was very shocked after bringing it back down. In situations like this, it’s not always possible to get that perfect green finish straight away in a single visit. The main goal first is getting it back to a manageable, tidy level without scalping it into dirt.

Now that it’s under control, it has a much better chance to recover, thicken back up and green up properly with time and regular maintenance. Massive improvement already. 💪🌱

Garden getting out of hand?

This is a few recent cutback jobs.

Cordylines were taken right back. Looks brutal, but it’s the correct way to reset them. They’re already shooting again and will come back cleaner, fuller, and way easier to maintain.

I don’t do quick patch-up jobs. I get gardens back to a proper baseline so they actually stay under control.

Once everything’s back where it should be, I’m more than happy to keep it maintained for you on a regular schedule so it never gets to this point again.
