Happy International Women's Day for yesterday.

For the ones that don't know. Our company name is named after my late Mother. Yidinji on my Grandmother's side and my Grandfather was a Kanaka. My Mother was very strict religious women that I didn't always see eye to eye with but I am who I am because of her. And to of course my sisters and my beautiful wife thank you for being strong resilient women.
So to all the wonderful Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunts, Sisters and Daughters, I hope you had a good day yesterday and on behalf of Y2K we would love to say thank you for everything you do!

Increased evaporation due to the higher temperature is the biggest culprit behind concrete cracking. Meaning when it comes to NQ summer time concreting we have to adapt different approaches. Concrete mixes change, steel is watered down before the placement of concrete to lower steel temp. aliphatic alcohol is applied to wet concrete surface and a curing agent is applied to surface after concrete is finished. This does not always solve the problem, so the team rolls out geo-fab to the top of concrete and hose it down. The geo-fab holds the water and keeps the concrete moist and decreases evaporation of the surface. Resulting in less chances of cracking.
