JOB OF THE WEEK 📍 Victoria Road Primary School, Lilydale

Aqua over the courtyard and the sandpit area. 💙

Two structures, layered so they cover the play space and the walkway between the buildings. Aqua is a good one for a school. It is bright without being loud, and it lifts a brick courtyard straight away.

Planning shade for your school? Book it in over the holidays and it is ready when the students are back.

JOB OF THE WEEK 📍 Balnarring Picnic Races, Balnarring

A local one we’re proud of. 🏇

We recently installed two big light grey shade sails over the picnic area at Balnarring Races, just in time for the warmer months.

Light grey keeps things soft against the gum trees and the brushwood fence, and leaves the space underneath bright and open. Racegoers now have somewhere to grab a table and settle in for the afternoon without copping the full sun.

Thanks to the club for having us. See you on race day! ☀️

Thinking about shade for your club or venue? Give us a call, we’d love to help.

Throwback Thursday!

Butterfly wings and bird shapes. 🦋

One from the archive, and still one of the more interesting shapes we've worked on. Red and Aqua, across curved frames built as a centrepiece rather than just cover.

Parks, playgrounds and schools are where these land best. Shade the kids will love to look up at.

Got a shape in mind? Give us a call.

Meet Alex. 👋

The one you want on site when something needs sorting. He measures it, digs it, builds it, and fixes whatever the site throws at him along the way.

Ask anyone on the team and they will tell you the same thing. If Alex is on the job, it gets done properly.

He rests when the job is finished 💪

Thinking about shade for your place? Give us a call and we will get Alex and the team out to you.

JOB OF THE WEEK 📍 Phillip Island

Coffee coloured sails over the deck at a recent job on the island, set at an angle so they shade the windows along with the deck.

Coffee was the right call here too. It sits quietly against the surrounding bush, exactly what you want at a place like this.

Somewhere to sit outside through summer without copping the full sun. ☀️

Thinking about shade for your deck? Give us a call, we would love to help.

JOB OF THE WEEK 📍 Gleneagles Secondary College, Endeavour Hills

A big one for us, and one we're proud of!

We recently finished a set of shade sails across the courtyard and outdoor areas at , all in purple and grey to match the school colours.

The sails are layered so they overlap and work together. The purple brings the school spirit, the grey keeps it clean, and the students get plenty of shade for recess, lunch and everything in between.

Thanks to the Gleneagles team for having us. ☀️

Meet Bec. 👋

Accounts Manager, and the one keeping everything running behind the scenes.

Five years with us already! You may not find her up a ladder or out on site, but every job you see on this page has crossed her desk at some point.

The work out the front gets the photos. Bec is a big part of why any of it happens. ☀️

Meet Nigel. 👋

Project Manager, and the reason the structures you see on here actually come together the way they should.

Nigel has been doing this a long long long time. Years of it, then more years on top of that. It is the sort of experience that is hard to explain to a client but obvious the moment a job gets complicated, because he has almost certainly seen it before and knows exactly what to do about it.

What you notice just as quickly is that he still loves it. He turns up genuinely happy to be here, and the whole place is better for it.

Good structures come from good people. ☀️

JOB OF THE WEEK 📍 VMCH St Catherine's, Balwyn

Shade along one side of the balcony area, plus two more structures towards the rear. Coffee was the right colour here. It sits quietly against the brick and the established gardens rather than fighting them.

These are the spots where someone sits with a cup of tea or gets outside on a warm day without copping the full sun. Always good to see a job like this come together.

And this one wasn't just about putting the sails up... 👀 Behind the scenes video coming soon, showing how we prepped the site and got the posts in.
