Before the rain we squeezed a quick trip to Dubbo in to help these great customers out with some land scaping before their new shed arrives đź‘Ť

•Existing garden beds pulled up and removed
•Existing awning pulled down and stacked aside
•Existing concrete pulled up and removed from site
•All waste material picked up and removed
•Retaining wall marked out to design and posts concreted in
•Sleepers installed
•Drainage installed
•Retaining wall back filled
•Site cleaned up and levelled

Something a little different yesterday! In the small village of Ulamambri nsw these existing cattle yards were built somewhere between 40 and 50 years ago , these yards would have some unreal stories to tell from back in the day when the railway used to run through here. They are a communal set of yards for the village still to this day. Over the years they’ve been slowly deteriorating and in need of some love. Yesterday Jacko and I donated our time to dive in and help out with re-fencing the front of the yards , bit of a watch this one but here’s our day in 2 minutes 👍 smith

Few photos from a septic instal we’ve been working on the past couple of days with the guys from Barry Patterson plumbing , the photos don’t do it justice with the down hill section of this one. We’ve dug the down hill section in stages as required.

The 2.5 ton excavator handles the tanks with ease for these installs 💪🏻 tank lowered into position , fill with water and a portion back filled waiting for the plumbing to be finished and inspections ticked off.

With the dry weather becoming very testing we’ve been trenching kilometres of poly in lately , poly to tanks , poly to troughs , even poly from bores to houses that were originally supplied by rain water only.

With our 200mm chain trencher we are able to trench around 500 metres a day in good going , the excavator is utilised for trough pad installs and makes going under fences very easy. The excavator excels in the rocky terrain over our chain trencher , so no matter the terrain we have you covered.

Even though it wasn’t as much rain as we need it was def good to see some rain about , I can tell you Jack Smith and I are happy to be back into her again this morning minus the dust!

Out in the hilly country of Mitchel springs road pulling down fences , rolling them up , clearing the line for the new fence and thumping strainers and stay posts , should keep the the boys from Fitzgerald Rural Contracting busy for a day or two đź‘Ť

Christmas break is over for us , straight back into it with around 30km of fence line to pull down , roll , clear and level. That should keep the boys from Taylor’s rural contracting honest!

We hope you’ve all had an amazing Christmas with your friends and family!
