WARNING CUTENESS OVERLOAD.

Thank you to our valued regular customers for your patience. As of recently I've scaled down operations and been somewhat absent from the workplace (a special thank you to Tony for manning the fort) The reason for my absence is the birth of our first born child. I am feeling very grateful for the safe arrival of William Charles Hanslow on Tuesday the 6th of may. Its never easy juggling work and other commitments in life but I think this has been well worth the ongoing apologies to customers for delays on jobs.

A special nod of appreciation and respect goes out to all mums today as I've now seen just a glimpse of the amazing sacrifices you make. For without great mums none of us would exist.

Happy Mothers Day to all. 💓💖💗💕❤️

31/12/2024

Thats a wrap. Today is our last day of service for the year and we will not be open until the 1st of Janurary.

A massive thank you goes out to our suppliers staff and friends but most of all our customers for without you we would not exist. Enjoy your new years celebrations and we look forward to seeing you in 2025.

JOB ADVERTISEMENT (LICENSED PLUMBER) AND COMPETITION TIME. PLEASE SHARE.

We are still on the lookout for another plumber, share this post and if we secure the services of another plumber based on your share we will give you a Webber Baby Q ready for summer bbq season.

We are a continually growing business with a great clientele base. We have ongoing work that will not go away no matter what the economy is doing. We also have on going and up coming project work.

As a result of this we need another licensed plumber on our team.

I often get asked "what type of work do you mainly do". The only real answer I can give to that is everything plumbing Gasfitting and Airconditiong related. As our name suggests we cover the entire trade which presents a great opportunity for someone who may want to either see and learn some of the other areas of the trade or if you want to cruise and stick to the work you're comfortable with we would have the variety to satisfy that too. I offer a supportive work environment, whilst I don't have the answers to everything I usually can find them somewhere so that you will never be left guessing how to do your job (which I know some other employers will do to their staff)

The position will come with all the usual perks including a fully maintained work vehicle with personal use upon negotiation, work phone and an hourly rate which I'm confident is above what our competitors are offering.

Please either send your resume to [email protected] ,send us a message on here or contact me privately on 0400 525 482 for a no obligation chat.

All enquiries will be kept strictly confidential.

WE HAVE A NEW HOME!!!

After 3 years of operating out of my garage at home we have well and truly outgrown it.

Over the coming weeks during our chaotic work schedule we will be going through the process of moving into our new base in downtown Ulverstone.

So far I've worked out where the beer fridge and woodheater is going 😆.

Thank you to all of our customers and my other crew members (Tony and Jason) This would not be achievable without your support and I look forward to our future together.

Watch this space for updates as we make this shed into a home.

JOB VACANCY (LICENSED PLUMBER) FRIENDS PLEASE SHARE.

It's been a long time since my last post, over 12 months in fact. We have unfortunately been too busy plumbing to spare the time to post about it.

During the last 12 months we have had some changes and we are now an operation of 3 good men. We are blessed to have a fantastic list of repeat clients and an ever growing list of new clients. As a result of this continued positive response from the community we need help and therefore a position is vacant.

As our name suggests our work is very varied and we cover all facets of the trade. We do a combination of maintenance/breakdowns, renovations and new builds across residential, commercial and industrial.

The successful applicant would require as minimum:

A plumbing practioners license
A driver's license
Working with vulnerable people card

The successful applicant would recieve:

A generous hourly rate.
A fully maintained work vehicle.
Ongoing training to maintain CPD points
Opportunity to continue to develop your trade in a supportive environment.

Please send your application to [email protected] or call me (Damian) on 0400 525 482

All applications/discussions will be kept confidential.

I cannot be in two places at the one time, I can't even drive two utes at the same time so I need help. With work scheduled in up to half way through the year already I need a qualified and licensed plumber.

Minimum requirements are:

Plumbing license
Drivers license
Covid vaccine
Working with vulnerable people card

What I can offer you:

Competitive rate
Take home vehicle
Opportunity to grow and upskill
Respect and gratitude

If this sounds like something that may interest you please get in contact via inbox. (I have no need for long winded resumes or cover letters) All enquiries will be kept confidential.

Did you know your hot water cylinder needs servicing to prevent it from premature fatal rusting?

On the left is a sacrificial anode removed from a hot water cylinder that had rusted through began leaking and had to be replaced. On the right is a fresh replacement anode.

These sacrificial anodes are made from magnesium and are. Less noble metal than the structure of the cylinder, the contaminants that enter the cylinder attack the anode before they start attacking the cylinder itself. Problem is once the anode is eaten away like the one in this photo the water contaminants will then attack the cylinder.

The solution is to replace your anode. This should usually be done every 5 years. If this is kept up to date the hot water cylinder should last much longer than what we currently see them last.

When replacing the anode it is also recommended to replace your pressure relief valve. This reduces the risk of having a faulty valve that dribbles 24/7 and wastes a lot of power and water.

This is my first winter visit here and surprisingly I found it warmer than home. Seriously guys if you get the opportunity make sure you visit this place the people are the nicest people you'll come across.

Not really plumbing related but sort of is, I thought I'd share this money saving tip. Rinse aid was $2.90 dishwasher powder $3.90. Total cost of $6.80. Dishwasher powder in my experience is far more effective than the tablets that can cost as much $1.30 each. If you follow the instructions on the powder there's enough there to do 50 loads. So with the rinse aid and powder cost that works out to be under 14 cents a load.

So for those who have learnt something here I hope you enjoy your savings for the rest of your days to come.

Just like riding a bike... There was a time in my career where I would attend to gas break downs almost on the daily. So its nice to know I've still held on to the skills required to diagnose and repair a fault with a gas appliance. This Braemer gas ducted unit wasn't firing and its owner was stuck in the cold. I was able to go through a fault finding process to determine the cause of the problem, rectify it and bring back the heat which certainly is required on cold nights like tonight.

Happy Saturday and I hope your football team wins this weekend.

Bath time... well I mean time to test this spa bath out for leaks and correct operation before the pump housing gets a nice watertight and removable cover over it. Ready for tiling.

Water proofing has been done to a high standard here and for good reason too. I would estimate that honestly 99 out of 100 bathroom leaks I attend to to determine cause of water damage it's the water proofing that's failed.

Lesson here is make sure your waterproofing tradesman is trained and competent before trusting them to protect your greatest asset (your home).

Photo of an install today, Fujitsu out and in the rubbish Daikin installed in its place.

This is the stage of a heat pump install where it's most relaxing. Pressure test install with nitrogen to 3000kpa, vacuum down to below 300 microns and finish by releasing the refrigerant gas through the system.

There's an unfortunate trend amongst some installers where they get lazy and choose not to pressure test. If your installer isn't pressure testing their pipework you're not getting what you paid for and are risking appliance malfunction.
