Yesterday we celebrated a very special milestone for one of our long-term team members. Peter's 60th Birthday! 🎂

Not only did Peter ring in a huge milestone birthday, but he has also recently hit an incredible 28 years with Hembrows Electrical! 🙌.

Known for his big smile, his funky Friday shirts and his unwavering dedication, Peter's positive presence over the years has meant the world to our entire team. In his role as Senior Estimator, Peter is an integral part of our Design & Construct team and we're lucky to have him in our team.

From traineeships to thriving careers ⚡

Where are they now?

As Hembrows celebrates 48 years in business, we’re proud to support long-term careers, with many team members starting through apprenticeships and traineeships before becoming valued long-standing members of the team.

After completing their traineeships with Hembrows, these team members have gone on to become valued contributors across the business. Their progression is a testament to their dedication and hard work, as well as our commitment to providing opportunities for continuous learning, development, and personal growth.

🎓 Millie now supports our commercial division with drafting, estimating and day-to-day programming.

📚 Lilliarna plays a key role within our Reticulation department, helping keep projects running smoothly and assisting our developers as a main point of contact.

📈 Mackenzie works with customers building new homes, assisting with electrical design and tailored energy solutions.

🦺 Alli supports both our Accounts Payable and WHS teams, assisting with invoice management and onsite safety audits.

It’s rewarding to look back on where their journeys started and see the progress that’s been made since👏

Behind the scenes of our 35-lot social and affordable housing development in regional Queensland, delivered in partnership with BMD Group and Urbex, supported by the Queensland Government. 📍

Civil works have now been completed, with the site officially handed over to the construction team as building works commence on the next stage of the development. 👷‍♂️

This early site image captures works just getting underway on a mix of 1, 2 & 3-bedroom homes that will help form this new community. 🏗️

This project is being delivered using cost-efficient, energy-conscious pre-manufactured materials, selected specifically to improve installation efficiency and reduce construction timeframes. This approach helps streamline construction sequencing and improve overall project delivery without compromising performance or finish. ⚡

The project is on track for completion in the first half of 2027.

Looking forward to sharing more updates as the development progresses.

Long-term careers don’t happen by accident.

We recently held our Years of Service event, recognising the team members who have played an important role in shaping Hembrows over the past 10 years and beyond.

Since 1978, Hembrows has continued to grow across multiple sectors, but the strength of the business has always come back to the people behind it.

This year’s event, held at Rivermakers Brisbane, brought together team members and their families to celebrate milestones ranging from 10 years through to more than 35 years of service.
These milestones represent years of hard work, commitment, loyalty, and contribution to the continued success of Hembrows.

Our appreciation extends beyond those who wear the Hembrows logo each day to the families who support them throughout their careers.

To everyone recognised this year, thank you for the time, hard work and commitment you have dedicated to Hembrows over the years. We are incredibly grateful to have such a strong team behind the business and look forward to continuing the journey together. 🫶

Project Win – Miles, QLD 📍

We're excited to be partnering with Anaman Camps on the design and construction of electrical and communications services for their new 344-room workers accommodation facility in Miles.

Our team is already on site, delivering underground services and making strong progress across the project. 👷‍♂️⚡

It's great to see the development rapidly taking shape, with completion on track for July. We look forward to continuing the momentum and bringing this important project to life.

☀️Hembrows Solar⚡

2025 saw the expansion of our geographical presence for a national client who has now installed over 1MW of solar with us in the last 4 years, including installations from Cairns in the north, Geelong in the south and as far west as Geraldton in WA. 🌏

Our team has put a large emphasis on reliability and quality every year, which has resulted in a substantial increase in repeat business from landlords, occupiers and the builder channel. 🔧🏗️

At a time when the commercial solar sector was otherwise quiet, Hembrows has continued to outperform the market and finished amongst the top 5 installers in our target market in Queensland. 📈

All this, while also delivering hundreds of solar installs for many home builders and existing residential customers all over Queensland. ☀️🏡
None of this would be possible without the network of trusted suppliers, install teams, consultants and other partners, as well as our own in-house support office team who continue to show up every day to represent the Hembrows brand. 👏

Thank you to all who have been along the journey with us, not only this year, but every year that we have been fortunate enough to work together. Here’s to more success in 2026.

2025 marked Energy Fleet's fifth birthday, a milestone we’re incredibly proud of.

To celebrate, we invested heavily in strengthening our fleet, upgrading every trailer with more batteries, more solar panels, improved inverters, and increased generator capacity. 🎉

We prioritised maintaining, upgrading, and refining our solar trailers with tailored engineering to improve reliability and ensure the delivery of consistent clean energy on site. ⚡

We expanded our partnerships, connecting more civil contractors with our solar trailers to power their job sites.

In 2025, we powered over 21 sites, delivering more than 79,000 kilowatt hours of renewable energy.
To put that into perspective, that’s the equivalent of running a 9 kVA generator for more than 459 days. 🔋

Last year, Hembrows’ Energy Division strengthened its role as an Accredited Service Provider for Energy Queensland, fully rated for underground, overhead, and street lighting works. 🏗️💡

From small subdivisions to large, multi-stage community developments, our team designed and built HV & LV infrastructure across the Energex SEQ & Ergon networks. 🔌🏘️

We played our part in addressing Queensland’s housing supply shortage. Energising thousands of new lots across the state.

In 2025, the Hembrows Commercial Department started the year strong with the handover of our third facility for Total Fusion Australia, delivered as a Design & Construct project as part of a major expansion at Westfield Chermside. 💪🏗️

At the same time, our team delivered multiple residential projects, including 114 townhouses in Riverview for Signature Property and 45 townhouses in Albany Creek for Lucindale Holdings. 🏘️
We also completed three key projects within the Rivermakers precinct, providing integrated HVAC, electrical, and solar services. ⚡☀️
These highlights represent just a snapshot of the many projects we were proud to deliver throughout 2025.

We’re proud to officially welcome 4 new apprentices to the Hembrows team! ⚡

This intake includes Riley B, who successfully completed work experience with us in 2025, Riley H and Lachlan progressing into apprenticeships within the business, and Sebastien joining the team as a brand new apprentice.

Creating pathways for growth and development within our workforce is something we strongly value at Hembrows. It’s always rewarding to see team members progressing their careers and gaining the opportunity to further develop their skills within the electrical industry.

Working alongside our experienced crews across a wide range of projects, each apprentice will gain valuable hands-on experience while building the knowledge and confidence needed for long-term success in the trade.

We’re looking forward to supporting each of them throughout their apprenticeship journey. 👏
