When we boost test a hydrant system we use the same pressure and flow the fire brigade will use to fight a fire
This should be done every 5 year as it make sure the pipe can handle the pressure and there enough water in the mains , with additional development around you you water supply might not be
the same as it was when you first brought the property , plus it help remove the calcium build up in the picture below , the main reason for having a five yearly done it keeps you compliance , you know the system will work
If you ever have a fire , more importantly you can show you insurance company the work been done , so they can’t refuse your claim
Call your local fire company get them to do your 5 yearly and get them to get us to boost the system
