Today, we’re introducing Matthew Borrelli, General Services Technician.

Matthew’s day changes depending on where he’s needed. He could be repairing equipment, painting, installing something new, or supporting one of our client sites. The variety is what keeps things interesting — and it’s helped him build a wide skill set across different areas of the job.

What does he enjoy most about Servus?
The people. Matthew values the team he works with, but he also enjoys moving between locations and picking up new skills along the way.

Something you might not know — he’s a history nerd. Give him a documentary or a deep-dive and he’s in his element.

If he wasn’t in this industry, he’d likely be self-employed in construction. Hands-on work and building things from the ground up suit him perfectly.

After work, you’ll usually find him watching something on TV or playing video games to switch off.

Outside of work, he’s passionate about politics and keeping up with what’s happening in the world.

His weekends are all about spending time with family and friends — simple, good-quality time.

His comfort food? Pizza. But only if it’s good pizza.

If he could jump on a plane tomorrow, he’d head to Japan or Peru — two very different destinations, both high on his list.

As for inspiration, Matthew looks to his parents, who taught him about hard work, good values, and what really matters in life.

Today, we’re introducing Suzi Maitsis, Administrator.

Suzi keeps the operations engine running. Her days are full of organising emails, scheduling, handling documentation, keeping processes tight, and supporting the team wherever they need her. It’s a busy role with plenty of moving parts, and she enjoys the variety it brings.

What does she enjoy most about Servus?
The people. Suzi values the supportive culture, the sense of community, and the way everyone looks out for each other. Being part of a team you genuinely like working with makes a big difference.

Something you might not know — Suzi speaks Macedonian. It’s a big part of her cultural identity and keeps her connected to her roots.

If she wasn’t in this industry, she’d be working with children or somewhere in the legal space. She’s drawn to roles where she can support others and make a meaningful difference.

After work, she unwinds with music and time with her dog — her favourite way to reset.

Outside of work, Suzi is passionate about family and culture. Staying connected to her heritage matters, and she loves hearing the stories, traditions, and perspectives of new people she meets.

Her comfort meal? Crab linguine — but absolutely no chilli.

If she could travel anywhere tomorrow, she’d head straight to Greece to visit her family’s hometown and reconnect with her heritage. She’d also love to see France, where her grandfather spent many years — a trip that would tie together the history of her family.

Who inspires her most? Her mum. Suzi admires her strength, selflessness, resilience, and the way she’s always handled life with grace. The values she taught — hard work, kindness, staying grounded — shape who Suzi is today.

The supportive culture. Emily loves being part of a team that works together, backs each other, and takes pride in doing things well.

Something you might not know — Emily thinks frogs are cool. Simple as that.

If she wasn’t in this industry, she’d be working with numbers. Accounting or anything money-related would be right up her alley.

After work, Emily unwinds with a walk, some music, or a good series — usually with a bottle of wine close by.

Outside of work, she’s passionate about travelling and discovering new places. She loves exploring different cultures, landscapes, and ways of life.

On weekends, she’s either camping, checking out a new café, or enjoying a quiet day at home.
