Southern Utility Group is looking to engage a Trainee civil construction field worker.
Southern Utility Group is a rapidly emerging provider of field services in the telecommunications industry operating in NSW, ACT & VIC.
Your role will involve the carrying out of works on the telecommunications network for Major clients on a range of different Projects.

What you will get out of your traineeship;

• Cert 3 Civil construction - Plant operator
• Excavator VOC/License
• Groundomat VOC
• Hydro-Vac VOC
• Asbestos removal Class B License
• First Aid
• Traffic Control
• Pit, Pipe & cable hauling accreditation

You will gain the following skills;

• Rod & Rope underground conduits
• Cable hauling
• Use of Power Tools
• Pit & pipe Installation
• Concrete breakout & reinstatement
• Reading and interpreting plans
• Use of Hydro-Vac unit
• Asset locations

All Candidates joining Southern Utility Group must meet the following requirements:
• Construction Induction – White Card
• Valid Driver's License
• Willingness to work away from home (with LAFHA paid)

We are seeking a full-time Civil Labourer for telecommunications work on various projects & locations within New South Wales and A.C.T
Current projects requires someone who is experienced within a labourer role or someone who is a quick learner with the required licences and tickets.
You will have high level communication skills with a safe mindset and care for others onsite.
Our ideal candidate will have the following;
• White Card
• First Aid/CPR
• HR Truck Licence
• Current Police Check
• Basic Computer Skills
•
Extras that are desirable but not essential:
• Traffic Management
• Service/Assets Location
• Excavator Ticket

Wages ($29 - $43) negotiable on experience.
You will be required to work away from home with a nightly allowance of $190.00 per night.
Potential for a take home vehicle for the right candidate.
