Life has circled Me back to our home town not even 12 months later. I understand that chances are, you guys have found a new sparky and that’s all cool with me. I’m not here to steal you back 😂

HARMERS ELECTRICAL TURNS 10!!!
10 years ago today, I started Harmers Electrical with a “just have a go and see what happens” attitude and here we are.
As a kid, growing up with a father that was a plumber and had his own business that's all I wanted to do. I never knew what trade I’d take on, but all I knew is that I’d be a tradie and have my own show.
Throughout the 10 years, Harmers Electrical has been an absolute roller-coaster to say the least. Within the first 2-3 years we had myself and two other blokes on the go. Personal life happened (as it does) and this saw me down size back to myself at around the 5 year mark. It also saw a direction for the business, focusing on more of the maintenance side of electrical, heating and cooling.
It survived through many of ups and downs. In 2017 I took 4 months away from the business with the help of some good mates (and then wife) to cover for me while I was in rehab for addiction to alcohol and drugs.
2019 saw me almost walk away from the business completely, but I just loved it too much. Especially the maintenance side of it.
From helping people with no power, chucking in a new power point, getting a heater or evap up and going again. I just loved it. But still to this day my favourite is doing the little job for the old lady or old bloke that takes me 15 minutes to fix and then spending the next 45 minutes just chatting about life with them and then “forgetting to send the bill.”
Although the body is feeling 62 going on 63 rather than 32 going on 33 and the mind is 18 going on 19, it’s still worth it.
I’ve picked up some great customers along the way that I now call mates. I’ve worked with growing businesses and I’ve seen businesses fail along the way. I’ve made money and lost money, just like any business. But most of all, I’ve learned lessons and appreciate every single person that has used Harmers Electrical and that’s helped me keep the dream alive. I truly mean that. So from the bottom of my heart I thank you. I am truly grateful for each and every business and customer that has used, continue to use and will choose to use Harmers Electrical. Without your support I wouldn’t be making this post about the milestone of 10 years
