Bringing Your Dream Home to Life

Led by builder Ben Blencowe and supported by a dedicated local team, we take on a limited number of projects each year. This allows us to give each home the attention it deserves - focusing on the details and the care that will make it truly yours. As we grow, our commitment stays personal - with trusted people who uphold our values and bring your dream home to life.

We can take a joke. We just can’t be everything to everyone. 😅
Building a custom home comes with plenty of questions, and we expect that. Those early conversations help us work out whether we’re the right fit for each other.

There are a lot of moving parts behind every build, so our job is to give considered advice, lead the process properly and take that responsibility seriously.

We’re not a fast, off-the-shelf builder. We’re a custom builder, and for the right clients, that’s a very good thing.

The best projects happen when there’s trust both ways and everyone is on the same page from the start.

If nothing else, we’ve discovered the boss looks surprisingly comfortable in a suit. 😂

One of the earliest lessons we learned from working alongside architects and interior designers was that nature is often the best place to begin when choosing colours and materials for a home.

Travelling through the Northern Territory with our kids, we couldn’t help but see the connection everywhere.

The layers of stone at the Lost City.
Weathered timber trunks.
Imperfect red dirt roads.
Rust-coloured termite mounds.
Pale grasses, sand and the huge open sky.

They’re the same colours, contrasts and textures we’re often drawn to in homes:

Natural cladding that feels like weathered timber.
Stack stone with the variation of a rocky landscape.
Recycled bricks carrying the warmth and imperfection of red earth.
Corten steel bringing in those deeper rust and ochre tones.
Lighter finishes adding the softness of sand or sky.

A timeless palette doesn’t mean choosing 3 colours and matching everything back to them.

It’s about balance; grounding colours alongside lighter elements, smooth finishes beside textured ones, and enough variation to give the home depth without making it feel busy.

The most impressive homes often don’t compete with their surroundings.

They feel as though they belong there.

One of the biggest worries people have when building is ending up with a home that looks lovely… but doesn’t really feel like them.

A custom home shouldn’t just be a collection of popular finishes or whatever happens to be trending at the time.

It should reflect how you live, what you’re drawn to and the little details that matter to your family.

Our job is to help bring all of that together in a way that still works practically, fits the budget and feels considered as a whole.

Because the best result isn’t a home that looks like everyone else’s…
It’s one that feels like yours.

Seeing the frames arrive and start going up is always a big milestone.

But before that happens, there’s a fair bit of checking going on behind the scenes.

Measurements, openings, plumbing locations, materials, set-outs and all the little details that need to line up before we build on top of them.

Not every issue can be avoided during a custom build, but having good systems and taking the time to check each stage gives us the best chance of catching things early, when they’re usually much easier to deal with.

It may not be the most exciting part of building, but it’s a pretty important one.

A few degrees colder than Wagga… and a whole lot closer to the snowy hills! 🥶

The frames have arrived at our Tumba build, ready to start going up.

They’re 140mm LVL frames, giving the home deeper external walls as part of its high-performing design and helping it stay more comfortable through those very chilly Tumbarumba winters.

It’s a good reminder that homes shouldn’t be designed exactly the same everywhere. The climate and location matter, especially somewhere like this.

Now to get them standing 🔨

A lot of building happens in the conversations no one really sees.

Walking the site. Checking details. Talking through what’s next. Making sure what’s being built still lines up with what our clients are expecting.

Ben and I are involved from the early planning stages right through to handover; not because we need to be in every photo, but because this is our business, our reputation and someone else’s future home.

We know handing your plans, money and trust over to a builder is a big deal. We don’t take that lightly.

A simple, coastal inspired exterior that brings the whole home together beautifully.

If you’re thinking about starting plans with an architect, one of our biggest recommendations is to start looking for the right builder early too.

Not because the builder needs to take over the design process, but because it helps bring current construction costs, buildability and your priorities into the conversation while there’s still flexibility in the plans.

We’ve been working through this recently on a beautiful Japandi–Scandi-inspired home with GPG Architecture - where the design, budget and construction details are being considered together early in the piece.

It’s not about stripping away what makes a home special. It’s about making informed decisions early, so your plans have the best chance of moving from a beautiful set of drawings into an actual build.

Architect, builder and client all bring something different to the process - and in our experience, the earlier those conversations begin, the better the result.

This one’s a little throwback to our Gurwood slab party a couple of months ago. 🤍

Maggie and Max found the best seat onsite, perched on top of the wall frames that were waiting to be stood for her family’s new two-storey home.

By the time a slab is poured, there have already been months of planning, decisions, paperwork and conversations behind the scenes.

We love marking that milestone with our clients before the build really starts taking shape.

A lot has happened since this photo. The frames are now up, cladding is underway and the home is heading into rough-in stage.

Building can feel like a long and overwhelming process, but it shouldn’t feel like you’re doing it alone. We want our clients to feel comfortable calling, asking questions, coming onsite and sharing the exciting moments along the way.

For us, it’s not just about delivering a quality home. It’s about making sure the relationship and experience feel good too, and that even the little people get to be part of the story.
