In modern Australian homes, we’ve become pretty accustomed to seeing bathrooms tiled floor to ceiling — but it isn’t always necessary.

Sometimes, using less tile can actually give a bathroom more character.

Here, we’ve kept the tile where it works hardest — within the shower and wet area — and introduced wall panelling through the rest of the bathroom. The result is softer, warmer and a little less expected, while still being practical where it needs to be.

A good reminder that great bathroom design isn’t about following the standard formula. Sometimes it’s what you leave out that makes the biggest impact.

A long overdue team photo update.

It’s been almost two years since our last one, and a lot has changed in that time — including an entirely new carpentry team joining Lancaster Homes.

While the faces may change and the team continues to grow, what matters most to us hasn’t — good people who care about what they do, take pride in their work and genuinely enjoy creating great homes together.

Great home design isn’t just about creating a beautiful front facade. It’s about considering how a home presents from every angle.

Sirius presented one of the most unique design challenges we’ve encountered. Positioned on a triangular corner allotment with multiple street frontages, almost every elevation of the home is highly visible. There was nowhere to hide service areas, secondary facades or less-considered design elements — every side of the home needed to contribute to the overall architectural statement.

The result is a home that feels balanced, intentional and striking from every viewpoint. A testament to the power of thoughtful design and the creativity of our design team, who absolutely nailed the brief.

Custom home design is often about solving complex problems in a way that feels effortless. Sirius is a perfect example of that philosophy in action.

Every time I see one of these posts i think of our Verde Alpi Marble bench top 🫣So, I had to jump on the trend before it’s over. 😂

In all honesty though, best money we spent on the house, even the boss agreed in the end.😉 (I think.)
