A tricky Tumut backyard, transformed. 👏🏼

When the Spanline Riverina team were called in to tackle a challenging 3-level backyard, they knew a clever design was needed.

The homeowners wanted to create a practical outdoor living space with plenty of clearance, while keeping the new structure in harmony with their recently built home.

After some on-site brainstorming, the team landed on a 12° reverse skillion roof, a first for the team and the perfect solution for the space.

Using engineered rafter brackets and four heavy-duty front posts, the roof was raised to provide generous head clearance while still allowing plenty of natural light into the home.

The final result is a striking, practical outdoor space that solves several challenges at once and looks like it was always meant to be there.

A beautiful outdoor space designed to complement the home and make the most of the garden. 🌿

The Maxwells of Young came to our Spanline Riverina team wanting to create a comfortable outdoor space where they could relax, entertain and enjoy their beautiful garden throughout the year.

The brief was simple: maintain the existing views, create enough height and ensure the new structure felt like a natural extension of the home.

To bring the vision to life, our team:

✨ Designed a flyover roof to maintain the home's existing height and work seamlessly with the stormwater.
✨ Used 50mm Wavetek® insulated roof sheets with a Luxline profile to improve year-round comfort and help minimise condensation.
✨ Selected the Luxline profile to add subtle character while complementing the home's existing style.
✨ Matched the colours to the home's façade, creating a seamless and cohesive finish.

The final result is a practical, comfortable outdoor space that feels right at home with the existing property - giving the Maxwell family the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy their garden for years to come. 🏡
