The weather has turned and with Winter around the corner it’s important to think about our plants in this cold climate.
Winter and frost can be really tough on our plants, but there are a few things you can do to help protect your plants from the harsh conditions.
Here are some of our top tips to keep your plants healthy during the Winter:
❄️Mulching around your plants can act as an insulator to create a barrier between the cold air and the soil
🌱Watering your plants in the morning will allow the water to soak into the soil before the cold night air gets to it
❄️You can create a mini greenhouse by covering your plants with plastic containers or bottles
🌱Bubble wrap or hessian can be used to wrap your potted plants add extra warmth to the soil
❄️Moving smaller, potted plants indoors near a window and natural light can help protect your most vulnerable plants from harsh weather
