Tip 2: Check the weather forecast regularly. Just because it is your watering day doesn’t mean you need to turn your sprinklers on. If it is raining the day before or day after you can get away with turning your sprinklers off for that day.

Tip 3: Regularly service your taps and water appliances to ensure there are no leaks. Keep an eye on your water bill for any unexpected increases

LEAKING TOILETS
Did you know that leaking toilets are the most common cause of household water leaks and can waste up to 60,000 litres of water per year? Imagine how much that's adding onto your water bill!
To find out if your toilet is leaking, follow these quick and easy steps:
1. Listen for a hissing sound – if you listen closely to the cistern and can hear hissing, this usually means water is escaping.
2. Remove the cistern lid and place a few drops of food colouring into the water.
3. Replace the lid and wait for approximately 10-15 minutes, ensuring you do not flush the toilet at all during this time. Check to see if the water in the toilet bowl has changed colour. If it has, there is a leak present.
