It was a pleasure to welcome students from the Neil Porter Legacy Program to Leahy’s Electrical Services last week.

The students had the opportunity to get a behind the scenes look at what a career as an electrician involves, from the tools and vehicles we use every day to the wide variety of work our team completes across domestic, commercial, industrial and communication projects.

We also spoke about the different pathways into the electrical industry, including apprenticeships, the skills employers look for, and the rewarding career opportunities available.

A big thank you to the for visiting us. We hope the experience gave the students a valuable insight into the industry and inspires some future electricians!

⚠️ SAFETY RECALL – CHECK YOUR SWITCHBOARD ⚠️

Did you know some Hager RCBOs (Safety Switches) with the blue square test button have been recalled due to a potential electrical safety issue? The recall applies only to specific Hager single-module RCBO models (AD310T, AD316T, AD320T and AD325T) sold from July 2010 onwards.

If your switchboard has a Hager RCBO with a blue square test button, it’s worth having it checked by a licensed electrician.

If you’re unsure whether your switchboard is affected, don’t take any chances.
