⚠️ Strengthening electrical safety in Queensland’s pools, spas and baths

From 1 April 2025, water equipment such as extra low voltage pool lights and pumps will be included as prescribed electrical equipment under Queensland’s electrical safety framework.

This means that:
✅ Only licensed electricians can perform electrical work involving water equipment.
✅ Manufacturers, suppliers, and installers must be familiar with and comply with their duties.
✅ Unsafe water equipment may be recalled.

Water + electricity = a deadly mix

Remember to keep pools, spas and baths safe.

It has been many years since the lights lit up at the entrance to the Big 4 caravan park. We removed the old lighting and installed a new custom sign light. Very pleased with the outcome.

A switch board upgrade was well overdue...
- No additional circuits could be added
- A recently installed circuit was not installed on a safety switch
- Existing safety switches were becoming unreliable.
- No load balancing and overloading of 3 phase main switch.
- Minimal circuit identification.

All these problems solved with a new flush mount switch board, new type A safety switches and alot of pride!

The worst one yet! And yes your correct... that's mould!

Another unit that was cleaned and serviced prior to our arrival. As you can see by the first photo, the front of the coil had been professionally cleaned but that's the part that can be seen. Once the coil and barrel fan was removed it exposed a very disturbing sight.
A full professional deep clean by Tomkins Electrical with San Air products bought this unit back to life and now everyone can breathe easy!

Have you ever asked yourself 'Is my air conditioner doing me and my family more harm than good'?

When you call for help and want your split system cleaned and serviced because it just doesnt smell right, make sure that covers are removed and you look for yourself at the end result after a clean.
It is very sad to say that this unit had just been 'professionally cleaned' and charged accordingly. We were called after the unit still smelt like mould and found this AC living ecosystem.
We got to work and did our thing.....
~All covers removed.
~Barrel fan removed and cleaned.
~Full wash down of coil and covers.
~Full San Air treatment including coil sealer and gel products in the house to assist with air quality and target mould removal.
