Jack and Rene worked many long, hard years to develop their business with Jack traveling throughout the state, going far and wide collecting scrap metal while Rene would look after the business interests at home. 966, son John joined the family business following a career with the Commonwealth Bank and in 1980 John’s wife Sandra joined the firm after rearing 3 children. 3 years later John and Sandra purchased the business from Mum and Dad. Today another generation of Haggarty is involved with the business with John and Sandra’s son Scott, now the General Manager of the group. His involvement continues to ensure the Haggarty name is synonymous with quality products and first class service. The consistent growth of The Haggarty Group Qld forced a move to larger premises in 1995 which allowed the business to expand into the steel supply, fabrication, reinforcing and welding industries. This is in addition to already being one of the largest roofing companies in Queensland, a hose manufacturer, oil distributor and scrap metal merchant. In September 2007 The Haggarty Group Qld again showed its diversification in purchasing “Aussie Paint Barn”. John has never been one to rest on his laurels and thrives on the challenge of business. This latest purchase enables The Haggarty Group Qld to offer its customers a one stop shop where people can get virtually everything they need in the one place and be treated with the same level of service The “Haggarty name represents. The Haggarty family and their wonderful team of staff believe in maintaining the tradition that Jack and Rene started so many years ago, offering the community excellent and friendly service and growing with the ever increasing needs of their customers.

Fences so strong, they’re practically built for climbing.

We don’t recommend turning your boundary line into a jungle gym, but a proper fence should be able to take a bit of punishment.

There’s nothing worse than a cheap timber or chain wire fence that folds the moment something leans on it. If you want to keep the yard secure and build something that lasts, it pays to use the right gear from the start.

We supply heavy-duty posts, Colorbond panels and Zincalume for fences that are built to stand their ground.

Stop settling for flimsy boundaries. Get the gear that holds up.

Don't let your shed become a biohazard.

We all know that one bloke whose shed smells like a cocktail of wet dog, rusty tools and a 10-year-old tin of turps.

If you're getting hit with that musty "shed smell" the second you roll the door up, you don't need an air freshener, you need airflow.

Trapped moisture isn't just a bad smell; it breeds rust on your tools and mold in your gear. The fix is actually pretty simple:
- Proper Ventilation: Get a whirlybird on the roof to cycle the dead air out.
- Good Insulation: Stop the condensation from sweating and dripping down your metal walls.

Stop suffocating in your own workshop. Come see the boys at Haggarty for the right ventilation and insulation gear to let your shed breathe. 🌬️🛠️

The quiet satisfaction of a perfect pour.

There's no better feeling than pulling off the formwork and seeing a mint slab.

When you ask the boys at Haggarty for advice on your reinforcing, whether it's getting the right size mesh or figuring out exactly how many bar chairs you need to keep it perfectly centered, it pays to listen.

No sunken mesh. No weak spots. No cracking six months down the line. Just a solid job done right the first time.

We’ve been supplying Ipswich tradies for over 75 years. Take the advice, get the right gear, and get that "Yesss" feeling on your next job.

Drop in and see the boys before the concrete truck gets booked.

Google doesn't know what the "metal thingy" is either, mate.

We’ve all been there. You’re standing in the backyard, staring at a half-finished project and suddenly you find yourself typing "how to make the metal go together good" into the search bar.

Skip the 40-minute YouTube tutorials from a bloke in Ohio.

If you're in over your head, put the phone down and do what you should have done in the first place: Just ask Pauly. At Haggarty, we actually know what the "thingy" is called, how it fits together and we've got it in stock.

Stop guessing. Come see the experts and get your weekend back. 🍻🛠️
