Itero's East Coast team have recently completed a V-Deck™ installation on Chevron’s import wharf at Mackay Terminal in Queensland.

Our team of three experienced rope access technicians, led by east coast manager Brodie Cole, traversed the rock wall and ascended below the wharf to install V-Deck™ around the headstocks.

The V-Deck™ access installation meant that our client IPCQ were able to quickly provide a safe, stable and fully encapsulated working platform for their team to commence remediation works with minimal disruption to port operations.

We want to give a big shout out to our crew in the Pilbara who achieved an exceptional milestone, installing 144m² of V-Deck™ in a single shift.

Another full container of V-Deck™ has just landed, and it's headed straight into the Itero Warehouse. V-Deck™ is the temporary hung work platform of choice for complex and demanding environments. Strong. Lightweight. Modular.

It's best suited to jetties, bridges, conveyors, pipe-racks, industrial plant, helidecks, internal storage tanks and or any area that is difficult to access that traditionally utilised suspended scaffolding or extensive ground-based scaffolding to provide access.

This latest shipment is boosting our stock levels ahead of a strong pipeline of upcoming projects.

Brodie spends most of his workday on the top arch of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, with spectacular sweeping views of Sydney. During nightshift, there's been the added bonus of fireworks just behind the Opera House 🎆

We’re proud to share that Itero Australia has successfully completed the first stage of our scope of works on Australia’s iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge as part of Transport for NSW major maintenance program leading up to the bridge’s centenary.

Our team delivered a bespoke hung access solution to facilitate remediation of the upper arch laterals - an area that has historically been challenging to access due to its highly exposed location and engineering constraints.

Key site conditions included:
- Working within load and wind constraints
- Working around the Transport corridor
- Some activities required night-only access for deliveries and lifting operations
- Strict containment requirements and stringent dropped object controls required at all times
- No on-structure equipment storage, requiring careful logistical planning

The combination of on-time, on-budget delivery and the performance of our access system on site is a testament to the effectiveness of our bespoke solutions and the high standards of our on-site teams.

We’re proud to have contributed to the ongoing preservation of this nationally significant structure and grateful for the opportunity to play a role in maintaining one of Australia’s most iconic assets.

Meet Travis - one of our rope access specialists doing what he does best at a wharf remediation project in South Australia. Travis and the crew installed V-Deck™ to provide safe, specialised access for replacing old timber structures.

Working to a tight deadline, Project Supervisor Beaux praised the team for working through every challenge and keeping everyone in the loop. Great work from Travis and the whole Itero crew! 👏

Great moment captured with our Site Supervisor, Jiri congratulating Calum as he gets ready to take on the Perth CBD skyline! After joining Itero as a labourer and supporting our warehouse operations, Calum has now taken the next step - recently completing his IRATA Level 1 and getting ready to put it into action on a façade remediation project in the city.

A great example of progression within the team and the opportunities available for those willing to put in the work.

This week, we're back on site in Portland VIC, delivering hands-on V-Deck™ training to the UGL team.

For upcoming remediation works on conveyor structures and pipe racks with load restrictions, V-Deck™ provides the ideal access solution, delivering high load capacity while significantly reducing the dead load applied to the structures.

As Australia’s only certified V-Deck™ training provider, Itero is proud to support UGL in developing their capability to safely and efficiently deliver this system on site.

We’re on the lookout for an experienced and proactive Project/Site Manager to lead and oversee remedial and access projects across a diverse portfolio in Western Australia.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, has a strong understanding of building pathology, and is confident managing both traditional and alternative access methods—including rope access, swing stages, scaffolding, and EWPs.

As a key leader within our delivery team, you will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the high level of quality our clients expect.
