A great day on the ground in Canada with our friends at Liberty Energy, getting a firsthand look at the scale, technology and capability behind the North American oil and gas industry.

The tour gave us a valuable insight into the operations, equipment and supply chains that support modern hydraulic fracturing and energy production — and, importantly, what it takes to mobilise and support an industry at scale.

For us, this is all about being prepared.

The Beetaloo Basin represents a significant opportunity for the Northern Territory and Australia, and we want to make sure our businesses are ready to support the industry as it develops.

We are taking the time to learn from the best, build relationships with the right people and understand exactly what the industry will need on the ground — from specialist services and equipment through to mobilisation, infrastructure and local capability.

The Whitehead Group is heading to Canada and the USA for the next two weeks as part of our Beetaloo contractor engagement program.

This trip is about spending time with major contractors, suppliers and industry leaders to better understand what’s coming, strengthen relationships, and ensure we’re well positioned as activity in the Beetaloo Basin continues to ramp up.

We’re committed to being in the room, having the conversations early, and making sure our businesses are ready to support one of Australia’s most significant energy developments.

Looking forward to a productive couple of weeks and bringing back valuable insights and opportunities for our team and our clients.

A cracking Friday afternoon win for our Plumbing NT operations team, with works officially awarded to support the restart of the Core Lithium mine facilities, located 90km south of Darwin.

We were lucky enough to have a local celebrity and all round good guy David Slama on site today with us and we showed him 2 very important projects we have on the go.

The huge $750m RAAF Darwin infrastructure build and the new Larrakia Cultural Centre build that we are close to completing with Sunbuild Pty Ltd.

I wanted to show David what local content looked like on a big scale and how our highly skilled team are delivering. We are proud of the opportunities we have been given and we are looking for more!!!
