High-speed bearing teardown – caught just in time
This bearing came from a high-speed air movement system, which we pulled down after spotting signs of trouble.
What we found:
⚠️ Burnt, degraded grease
⚠️ Clear signs of heat and moisture ingress
⚠️ Early signs of wear on rolling elements
Things were running hot and not happy!
We carried out a full teardown, cleaned everything up, checked tolerances, and reassembled with fresh, high-performance grease.
High-speed gear doesn’t give much warning — this is why preventative maintenance isn’t optional.
Do it properly. Do it before it fails.
