Hi everyone!
Been a while I know but life has been kind of hectic of late and work has been keeping me busy too.
A big thankyou to all of you that have called me over the last 12 mths or more after hearing my ads on 2REM radio, it's been great meeting the challenges you have provided.
Which brings me to today's job in Glenroy, a glass slider that didn't actually need new wheels but wouldn't shut properly with the bottom of the door touching the jamb but the top was away by about 25 mm leaving a gap that draughted and was letting creepy crawlies in.
Not a good situation.
An inspection revealed/confirmed that that corner of the house had indeed sunk by quite a lot but the main issue was the sliding door track had been literally mounted on 80mm of dirt that was sitting on the old garage floor [it was a garage converted to a room].
After removing the outside sandstone tiles I dug the dirt away to find the old concrete floor which was going to provide a good base for me to put some wedges onto after lifting the frame to where it needed to be.
No after pics as I totally forgot to take any, but I did take this one as it was something out of the ordinary and that's the sort of stuff I thrive on and prefer to post up about.
