Catching up with my boarding school buddies and the many dedicated teachers and school custodians and students. Celebrating 100 years of St Gregory's College. I travelled as a full Boarder from our family farm in Tarcutta, near Wagga Wagga. Only getting to see my siblings and parents during school holidays. St Greg's was my home away from home .....

My hard working parents made a big sacrifice sending me to boarding school, as many remote and rural families had to do.

Gave me a solid education including farming skills, lifelong mates, opportunities for sport and a drive to be my best. Their motto is you reap what you sow.

Now in my fifties I can more fully appreciate what this all means. Thank you St Gregory's and everyone related to those impactful years.

Much to feel supremely grateful for today ๐Ÿฆ˜๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ John Minto John Settree

Curious creatures following me around onsite in Kangaroo Valley today. Wild wombats wandering happily in the heat. Giving me a nudge to get the job done and move along!!

Summer in the bush. Reminds me of scorching hot days on the farm I grew up on, in Tarcutta near Wagga Wagga.

Merry Christmas everyone

How NOT to install gutter guard ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ I often get called out to fix other tradies workmanship. Frustrating because it clearly is ALWAYS better to GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. The screws you see in this video will already be detrimental to the integrity of this roof profile; rust is likely to set in fast which means micro-leaks building up around the roofline.

See the gutter guard wire sticking up? That will be COLLECTING DEBRIS creating potential bushfire ember hazard and moss, seedling, mice, rats, birds pushing up underneath as the wire loosens. ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ‚

Having been in Construction for over 30 years, I am sorry to see too many homeowners recently being charged for poor quality workmanship, by inexperienced people who are unlicensed or unskilled.

Your ROOFLINE is the most important PROTECTION for your asset. Insurance companies would be highly unlikely to pay out, if this roofline had a weather or bushfire event, due to incorrect gutter guard installation.

Get it right the first time.

Quite literally you are future-proofing your life's investment, your home, your family and your peace of mind.

Call for a conversation or request a complimentary roof-check of your home, investment property or strata. FREE advice that could be well worth a simple phone call. Paul Wild 0419038053

Sundays. Time out from being my own boss ๐Ÿ˜Ž I love these Suntory BOSS Coffee ice-cold coffeeeees after a morning in the sea. Remarkable effort by my mate Darren Fullerton who helped build out the recent Suntory facility in QLD, bringing more manufacturing onshore for Australia.

What a legend and a fascinating story of leadership and CEO determination on behalf of Australia. Darren mate you really are the BOSS ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Ongoing upskilling is imperative in Construction. Today we have a whole day of best-practice speakers at Rosehill, Sydney. It is a significant commitment for any tradie, taking a day to learn, grow, get better. However it's also vital to keep up-to-date to be delivering jobs to the highest-standard of quality and compliance.

Attended the launch of movie Yurlu | Country .country at Ritz Randwick. Hard to not be moved by the plight and fight for cleaning up this worksite, minesite, oversight in WA's outback Pilbara.

Thousands of Australians have been acutely affected from the blue asbestos mine tailings, left untreated and not remediated. As a workplace this mine site, and the breaches, should have been rectified decades ago. Asbestos is not just a Construction hazard, it is a widespread environmental hazard.

There was a special screening for the documentary's launch in NSW with Peter Garrett singer from Midnight Oil, courageous producer director of environmental Yaara Bou Melhem and local representative Janelle on behalf of generations of her family members fighting for this eco disaster to be rectified so they can freely access their land.

Every Australian would benefit from deeper comprehension of how mining affects our spiritual, ecological and social wellbeing and not just the economic side of the equation.

You can support by watching this confronting documentary Yurlu | Country. It is also the site that the song "Blue Sky Mine" was based on, to help give voice to these issues.

Donating to Clean Up Wittenoom is an action of solidarity, to help ensure 60+ years later this remediation finally happens with commitment from the WA state government.

Important progress. Changes to procurement rules by the Federal Government will require that only Australian businesses be invited to tender for government construction contracts valued below $7.5 million.

โ€œThese changes are good news for our small to medium sized business, which make up 98 per cent of the industry.

โ€œEvery $1 million worth of building activity supports around $3 million across the economy and with the scale of infrastructure investment in the pipeline growing, now is the time for government procurement practices to maximise the positive economic impact government construction work can have in local economies and communities around the country."

Want cleaner tank water for your washing machine, laundry and toilets? Adhering to BASIX guidelines for sustainability and bush-fire prone areas? Want to ensure your rainwater is as clean as possible, if connecting to a back-up emergency filtered water source, for showers, cooking or drinking?๐Ÿ’ง

Most clients now prefer to install our ULTRA FINE GUTTER GUARD MESH which is 70% smaller aperture (holes in the mesh) than most other suppliers.

Call Paul 0419 038 053 if you are looking to install gutter protection or replacing an older gutter guard or leaf guard product.

Cleaner rainwater harvesting helps extend the life of your:

๐Ÿ’ช gutters
๐Ÿ’ช water tank
๐Ÿ’ช pipes
๐Ÿ’ช washing machine
๐Ÿ’ช fabrics and clothes washed in rainwater
๐Ÿ’ช toilets cleaner flushes

And makes it worthwhile to run a water filtration system, for offgrid or emergency water source for your property. Our plumbing partners can advise on the right type of filtration systems or sprinkler system for your home.

Happy to answer your questions.

Outdated gutter mesh products such as "drop in mesh" are notorious for rusting, failing, moving, buckling and gathering debris (accumulating into risky build-up, bushfire hazard or overflows during weather events).

This property owner could see how much grit, moss and heavy mud was beginning to weigh down the gutters, rusting fittings & screws, deteriorating over years from improper application.

I'll put it simply: If this property got water damage during heavy rains, the Insurance company would be HIGHLY UNLIKELY TO PAY due to the state of the gutters, downpipes and lack of maintenance.

Bushfire risks (BAL ratings) have tightened up, so call Paul 0419038053 to check your roof for any potential problems before summer really kicks in.

Your peace of mind will be well worth it.
