With this year’s Ekka now wrapped up, it’s the perfect time to look back and reminisce on just how much the Exhibition Station has transformed over the years! 🎡🚆

A major piece of Brisbane’s rail infrastructure, and we’re proud to have had some of our team lucky enough to play a small part along the way, assisting with labouring duties throughout the project.

From construction site to a key part of the Ekka experience — what a transformation! 👏

Always great to look back and see the work that goes into building something that becomes part of Brisbane’s landscape.

Looking back to one of the first vehicles 'Tonka' to a few of the Matrix fleet we have today. 🚜

Maintenance is key, and our fleet plays a vital role in getting our team to site safely, day in and day out. Keeping our equipment well-maintained means keeping our people moving, productive and, most importantly, safe.

Proud of how far the fleet has come — and the team behind it. 💪

🚧 Looking back at a project in Miles, QLD.

Our team provided environmental civil services to assist a client with the dewatering of a rural dam, allowing for the installation of a new dam wall lining and replacement of water bladders used for fire control assistance.

A great example of the practical civil solutions we deliver to support rural infrastructure and our clients’ operational needs. 💧🔥

Our crew is out on site getting stuck into welding and rail maintenance, bringing plenty of skill, teamwork and good energy along the way. 💪🚧

From sparks flying to rails coming together, it’s great to see the crew working as one and keeping safety and quality front and centre.

🦺 As we head towards a busy period, a reminder to the team — safety always comes first.

With the workload increasing and things getting busier across our sites, it’s important that we continue to look out for ourselves and each other. Take the time to do the job safely, speak up when something doesn’t look right, and never take shortcuts.

At the end of the day, getting the job done is important — but getting home safely to your family matters most. ❤️

Stay focused, look after each other, and let’s finish every shift the same way we started it — safely.

From Rockhampton all the way to the Gold Coast, our team was spread across 15 sites, with 50+ staff helping deliver planned shutdown works safely and efficiently.

The sites may have been vastly different, but the goal was the same — show up, get stuck in and get the job done. 💪

From CSR labour, AT & PC welding, spotting, operating and everything in between — you name it, the team was there making it happen.

A huge thank you to everyone who showed up, put in the hard yards and delivered across the shutdown. Your effort, flexibility and commitment across every site is what makes these projects a success.

Goodna sign footing - Final Stage
The following photographs document the project close-out for the sign footing works. They capture the final condition of the installation, following completion of all construction activities, site reinstatement, and quality assurance inspections. The footing was completed in accordance with the project specifications and was handed over in a state ready for the subsequent installation of the sign structure.
