We have been busily engaged in planning the next evolutionary phase of our Client’s property at Benowa on Queensland’s Gold Coast. Working with our Consulting team, a comprehensive Planning submission has been made to Gold Coast City Council.

Lots of feedback on the proposal has been obtained through a Community Consultation process – have a look here for details www.benowagardens-haveyoursay.com.au

Brisbane City Council is to be commended for attempting traffic upgrades in Fortitude Valley’s James Street precinct. Have a look at the proposal here. Unfortunately this will reduce vehicle movement options and promote “rat running” in the surrounds. We suggest an alternative lozenge shaped traffic circle which will safely maintain all existing traffic options and create a unique opportunity for urban landscape and public art.

Our 100 year old building is undergoing much needed significant repairs and maintenance to its parapets and copings.
We will now be in good shape for the coming wet season.
Work has proceeded around three sides of the building and the fourth front side will be attacked in the coming weeks.
The Contractors have been meticulous in their efforts – repairing and replacing drummy render and re-doing parapet copings including application of waterproofing to top surfaces.
Heritage buildings need constant attention.

Artist Bruce Buchanan composed this watercolour of our office which was constructed in 1925 - 100 years old this year.

We have been here for only 36 of those 100 years!

Bruce is at the framers with our Director John: they both worked together in the profession many years ago.
