From time to time we get interesting and different jobs, such as this marine eutectic refrigeration system repair and control update. The client came to us after a number of other refrigeration repairers carried out dodgy repairs, quoted ridiculous figures and recommended replacing components that were not faulty...
Cooltech found the source of the gas leak, a corroded receiver, then replaced it and overhauled the control system by installing a new hp/lp control, replacing a hand valve with an electric solenoid valve and replacing the mechanical thermostats and guages with digital controllers and probes.
The system is now operating efficiently and the client is happy.

Cooltech were recently asked to replace a faulty coldroom evaporator coil, we were also asked if we could reduce running costs. Absolutely! Replacing standard mechanical thermostatic expansion valves (TXV) with Electronic Expansion Valves (EEV), greatly increases system efficiency, therefore reducing running costs! EEV's can reduce running costs by as much as 30%!
