Original 5m high sandstone retaining wall built in the 1950s around a mature gum tree at Seaforth. Approximately 10 years ago the tree dies and is cut off leaving the stump protruding from the wall. The client asked us to remove the stump and create a feature that extends the original wall to incorporate a new lift shaft.

Sandstone log retaining wall. 40m long x 1.5m high. Blocks were rockfaced (dressed) then positioned with 5.5 ton excavator. Each block weighs approx 1400kg.
