Still pinching ourselves… 🏆

Mbudg-Mburrum Pty Ltd was honoured to receive the Project Value up to $2 Million Award at the 2026 CCF NT Earth Awards for Kakadu Works Package 3 – Nanguluwurr Track, delivered alongside JLL.

This one is incredibly special. It's our very first industry award win after being finalists for a number of awards over the years. To receive our first CCF NT Earth Award - the highest recognition in civil construction in the Northern Territory is something we're extremely proud of.

A special thank you to CCF NT for the genuine respect you showed throughout the awards process. Taking the time to learn how to pronounce Mbudg-Mburrum correctly and showing an interest in the meaning behind our name meant more to us than you probably realise.

Mbudg-Mburrum has never been about simply delivering projects. We are about creating opportunities, respecting Country, building genuine relationships and leaving behind a positive legacy for the communities we work with. The Nanguluwurr Track represents exactly that. It stands as a project built on trust, collaboration and mutual respect, proving what's possible when Traditional Owners, clients and contractors work together with a shared vision.

To our incredible crew - thank you! This award belongs to every one of you. Your hard work, professionalism and pride in what you do are the reason we're standing here today. A special mention to our Site Supervisor, Braden, whose leadership and commitment to this project were second to none.

A heartfelt thank you to the Traditional Owners, especially Jeff Lee for trusting us to work on your Country. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, your stories and your guidance throughout every stage of the project. We'd also like to acknowledge the Cultural Monitors, whose presence, wisdom and care ensured the cultural values of this special place remained at the heart of everything we did. It was a privilege to work alongside you all.

Thank you to JLL, DMX, Parks Australia, Elle Masika and everyone who contributed to this project. Your collaboration, trust and support made this achievement possible.

What makes us proudest isn't the trophy sitting on the shelf - it's what projects like this allow us to do beyond the construction fence. Through opportunities like KWP3, we've been able to give back to our remote communities by providing weekly food shopping, power card assistance and sports sponsorships. That's always been our 'why' and always will be.
