An incredible honour for the Region....RMoA was bestowed the highest accolade with the Sir Zelman Cowen Award for Public Architecture at this year's Australian Institute of Architects National Awards. Credit to Lindsay & Kerry Clare and the Conrad Gargett team. I am humbled and have been so fortunate to have been a part of this project and in the words of the National jury;
"One superlative, regional project is the Rockhampton Museum of Art by Conrad Gargett, Clare Design and Brian Hooper Architect. Described by the jury as “a true public building,” this Sir Zelman Cowen Award-winning project was praised for its “immeasurable” contribution of cultural and economic benefits to the city of Rockhampton".

Thanks for the article ABC Capricornia and broader discussion around the built-environment and sustainable design principles.

The Muttaburrasaurus Interpretation Centre was built with local rocks as the main material and requires no power or staff to run, features that won the architect a design award.

Fantastic to read that the local press have covered our award. Cheers Central Queensland Today

Latest Architecture AU / AA article by Cameron James Bruhn on the Rockhampton Museum of Art (RMoA)

An incredible privilege to have worked alongside Lindsay & Kerry Clare (lead designers) and Conrad Gargett and previous Gallery Director Bianca Acimovic on this culturally significant building for all of CQ.

On Rockhampton’s riverbank, a new art museum designed by local and national practices in partnership connects the city’s architectural heritage with contemporary art and culture.

An expose of recently completed outback Architecture all based around major tourism offerings in western Queensland including our work in association with m3architecture and a lovely final nod to our Muttaburrasaurus Interpretation Centre.

A series of remote town tourist attractions in Queensland has become an unassuming trail of outback architecture and design destinations.
