Family House, Hvar
A family house on the island of Hvar, designed for an owner deeply connected to the place — an islander building a home meant to remain within the family, for future generations.
The project was developed in collaboration with our friend, architect and professor Vedad Islambegović , whose experience and sensitivity greatly shaped the architectural dialogue.
The house is simple and restrained in form, lifted and cantilevered on two V-shaped columns, allowing the landscape to flow beneath it.
A linear volume, calm and precise, oriented towards the sea.
The façade carries the color of the island itself — earthy, mineral, with subtle variations of red tones characteristic of Hvar’s soil. A material presence that belongs to the place rather than competing with it.
The pool, defined by a lateral glass edge, extends the horizon and reflects the light, reinforcing the relationship between architecture, terrain, and the distant sea view.
Architecture as permanence.
Quiet, grounded, and made to last.
