Our Entry for Kaira Looro 2025 – Nursery School Design Competition
We are pleased to share our submission for the Kaira Looro 2025 Architecture Competition, which challenged designers to envision a nursery school in rural Senegal, a space that is inclusive, sustainable, and deeply rooted in local culture.
Titled “A Nursery School Where the Sky Meets Laughter,” our proposal sought to create a nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and explore in safety and freedom. Inspired by the spatial qualities of traditional African villages, our design embraces modularity, community participation, and sensory engagement, integrating local materials, natural ventilation, and phased construction strategies that empower the local community.
This project reflects our shared belief that architecture can serve as a bridge between education, culture, and human dignity, especially in regions where access to early childhood development is limited.

We thank the Kaira Looro Organization for this meaningful opportunity and extend our appreciation to the jurors and global participants working toward equitable design.
