We are delighted to announce that we have started another project at Israq Textile Mills Ltd., a 3.6 MWp rooftop solar system currently under implementation at its manufacturing facilities in Madhkhola, Sreepur, Gazipur.

Israq Textile Mills is a 100% export-oriented cotton textile and spinning mill and forms part of the Ahmed Group, a recognised name in Bangladesh’s textile industry. For an energy-intensive spinning operation, on-site solar supports lower and more predictable energy costs, reduced exposure to grid and fuel volatility, and tangible progress on the carbon and renewable energy metrics that increasingly matter to global buyers.

Industrial rooftop solar of this scale is designed to perform for 20–25 years and beyond, turning factory roof space into a productive energy asset.

We remain committed to delivering clean energy infrastructure that is engineered properly and built to last.

Gtech Infrastructure Limited has joined hands with Norp Knit Industries Ltd. for the development of a 2.4 MWp rooftop solar system at its Gazipur manufacturing facilities

Norp Knit, part of the global Pearl Global group, is an export-oriented knitwear manufacturer serving major international brands. This project will bring substantial on-site clean electricity to its operations, strengthening energy cost control, reducing grid dependence, and supporting measurable progress on carbon performance.

Another step in turning Bangladesh’s industrial rooftops into long-term clean energy assets.

Gtech Infrastructure Limited has partnered with NR Group on a 33.85 MWp industrial rooftop solar portfolio, one of the more substantial industrial solar engagements currently underway in Bangladesh’s textile sector.

For a vertically integrated group of this scale, on-site solar supports energy cost control, reduced exposure to grid and fuel volatility, and stronger positioning on carbon expectations from global buyers.

Large rooftop portfolios turn factory roofs into long-term energy assets and contribute to a cleaner industrial energy system for the country.

Gtech Infrastructure Ltd. recently hosted a seminar in Chattogram on rooftop solar and Bangladesh’s clean energy future.

The session brought together senior representatives from the Bangladesh Power Development Board - BPDB, including the Chief Engineer, Chattogram Zone, along with former PDB officials and engineers from the zone, creating a practical platform to discuss opportunities and challenges around wider solar adoption.

Key themes included:
• The role of rooftop solar for industrial and commercial facilities
• CAPEX and OPEX models that give businesses flexibility
• How on-site solar supports energy cost control, reliability, and lower carbon intensity

Collaboration between the power sector, industry, and renewable energy companies remains essential if Bangladesh is to accelerate a cleaner, more reliable energy system.

Proud to announce the successful commissioning of a 178 kWp rooftop solar PV system under the net metering scheme at Loyal Apparels Knitting Division, Sitakunda, Chattogram, a proud concern of Ritzy Group.

Installed under the BBB-Barabkunda office of Bangladesh Power Development Board - BPDB, this system is expected to generate approximately 285 MWh of clean electricity every year, supporting efficient manufacturing while meaningfully reducing the carbon footprint of day-to-day production.

For Bangladesh’s textile and RMG sector, where energy remains one of the largest sources of industrial emissions, projects like this represent practical, scalable steps toward decarbonisation without compromising operational reliability or export competitiveness.

At Gtech Infrastructure Ltd., we are honoured to partner with forward-looking manufacturers who are embedding sustainability into the heart of their operations. We also extend our sincere thanks to BPDB and the team at the BBB-Barabkunda office for their support and facilitation throughout the process.

Each rooftop we energise adds momentum to a broader industry shift, one where competitive manufacturing and environmental responsibility grow side by side.

Thank you to the entire Ritzy Group team for the trust, and to everyone who made this installation possible.

Here’s to cleaner energy, stronger industry, and a more sustainable Bangladesh.

Every year factories keep paying for energy they don’t control, exposed to tariff changes, fuel volatility, and rising carbon expectations from buyers.

A well-designed industrial rooftop solar system can lock in generation cost for 20–25 years while avoiding approximately 800–1,000 tons of CO₂ per megawatt every year.

That’s not just cleaner power.
It’s energy security under your own roof.

For export-oriented factories, rooftop solar is becoming part of competitiveness.

Global buyers are looking more closely at energy sources and on-site renewable generation. Factories that can show real clean energy capacity are better positioned in audits, sourcing decisions, and long-term buyer relationships.

Solar is no longer just a sustainability story, it is increasingly a business advantage.

Did you know?

1 MWp of rooftop solar can avoid approximately 800–1,000 tons of CO₂ every year. That’s not just cleaner energy. That’s measurable climate impact, from a factory roof.

Peace begins with what brings us together.

This International Day of Peace, let’s invest in the everyday choices that create a more stable and sustainable future, for industry, for communities, and for generations ahead.

Understanding. Cooperation. Building together.

At Gtech, we believe the work of advancing clean energy is also a quiet investment in peace.

Turn your roof into power plants.

The Bashundhara Entertainment and Food Court project remains one of the most significant milestones in Bangladesh’s clean energy journey, the largest BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic) project in the country to date, delivered by Gtech Infrastructure Limited.

Instead of conventional tin shed roofing, high-performance solar architecture now serves as both the building envelope and a long-term power-generating asset.

Project highlights:
• 4.1 MWp DC / 3.5 MW AC
• ~4.51 million kWh of clean electricity annually
• Dual function: full waterproofing + clean power generation
• Long-term durability with advanced bifacial modules and inverters

BIPV is not just solar on a roof, it is the roof becoming the power plant.
